Note: If DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated, and if the Item type field is set to 1 (End item) or 2 (Subassembly) in the Item file, then this field displays the word Manufacturing.
- Distr level
- Displays the distribution level of the warehouse. The distribution level is the classification indicating which level in the physical distribution network the warehouse resides, and from where the warehouse receives its items (i.e. other warehouse or external supplier). You can define as many distribution levels as you wish. Independent warehouses are set to level 1, warehouses supplied from an independent warehouse are set to level 2, etc.

- Displays the sequence number and date interval for the selected period.
- Plan method
- Displays the planning method for the item.
- Acc requirements
- Displays the accumulated requirements from the warehouses that are supplied from the selected warehouse.
- Depend forec
- Dependant forecast refers to requirements created from lower level calculation of supply plan. If IC forecast is updated based on supply plan, then this quantity will be regarded as dependent forecast. Note: If the item is defined with Planning method 6 or 7, then quantity is the same as requirement quantity. For all other planning methods, quantity is the same as supply quantity.
- Indep forec
- If IC forecast is updated based on supply plan this quantity will be regarded as independent forecast. Note: If the item is defined with Planning method 6 or 7, then quantity is the same as requirement quantity. For all other planning methods, quantity is the same as supply quantity.
- Demand
- Displays the quantity for open sales order lines for the selected period. Note: The dispatch date is used to allocate the correct supply plan period with the following exceptions depending on the sales order line status:
Status Description 10-20 If the dispatch date is within the first supply plan period and is less than today’s date, then the quantity will be allocated to period 0 instead of the first period. 30 Total quantity on pick list for the item/warehouse will be allocated to period 1. 40-45 If the sales order line is backlogged, but the line is not yet created, then the backlogged quantity will be allocated according to the following rule: A If the dispatch date is less than today’s date, then backlogged quantity will be allocated to period 0. B If the dispatch date is greater or equal to today’s date, then backlogged quantity will be allocated to period 1.
- Forecast
- Displays the IC forecast for the selected period.
- Requirements
- Displays the accumulated requirement quantity plus the greatest of either the forecast or the demand values.
- Safety stock
- Displays the safety stock that is calculated on period level based on the requirement quantity for each supply plan period record.
- Suppl period
- Only shown if the item is defined with a distribution level that is higher than 1. Displays the period in which the supply quantity will appear as accumulated requirements on the supplying warehouse.
The supply period is calculated using the period’s start date, reduced with the item’s planning time:
internal lead time + administration time + transport time Note: As a rule, there will only be a lead time adjustment if the planning time + constant ‘2’ is greater than the number of days for the supply plan period.
- Initial balance
- Displays the initial balance for this period. This value is equal to the outgoing balance for the previous period.
- Requirements
- Displays the requirement value that was calculated in the Requirements field above.
- Replenishment
- Displays the replenishment quantity, i.e. the inbound purchase or manufacturing orders to be received for the period.
- Net
- Displays the net quantity (initial balance – requirement). If the item is defined with planning method 6 (Purchase sugg, supply plan) or 7 (MRP, supply plan) in the Item file, then the replenishment quantity will also be added to the net quantity.
- Supply
- Displays the suggested quantity for supply, but can be changed. Note: If lower level requirements are calculated for the item, this field cannot be changed if the item/warehouse is defined with planning method 7 (MRP, supply plan).
- Order number
- Displays the purchase or manufacturing order number if an order has been created for the supply quantity.
- Balance
- Displays the outgoing balance for this period. This value is recalculated if the Supply field is changed.
- Line number
- Displays the purchase or manufacturing order line number if an order has been created for the supply quantity.
- Included in MRP
- Only shown if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicate if the period should be included in the Material requirement batch job (MRP). This field is automatically set to YES if the item is created based on the IC forecast or if the item has planning method 7 and the supply is based on lower level creation.
- Locked
- Indicate if the period should be locked. When you lock a period, the supply quantity will not be recalculated if a new supply plan is calculated based on the IC forecast. All other quantities, e.g. requirements and demand, will be recalculated even if the period is locked.

Work with supply plan, SST calculation (INVD07206)
This panel displays the calculation of safety stock for a warehouse in a distribution structure. The calculation method used is a generalized method for calculating SST in a supply chain. The idea is to have a flexible way of determining where the safety stock for a demanding warehouse will be stored. This can either be on the supplying warehouse, on the demanding warehouse, or shared between the supplying and demanding warehouse. This enables several demanding warehouses to share the risk of safety stock which will be stored at one supplying warehouse, thereby, reducing the total safety stock keeping the same service level.
Note: The formula does not consider planning time between warehouses rather it works with short lead times.
- Net on hand
- Displays the net on hand in stock at the moment when the item was added to the supply plan.
- Item
- Safety stock
- Displays the safety stock value that is retrieved from the Inventory management file or calculated if SP SST no of days is defined.
