This program forms part of the Shipment preparation process. How the process handles the content, planning and scheduling is completely user-definable. You plan the routes that will be used to deliver goods to your customers in this program and the system automatically generates the route lists in the Work with route list program. Each route list contains the scheduled departure and the planned deliveries based on the route plans.
Options
Destinations | Select this option to add a destination to a route. |
Restrictions | Select this option to access the Route restrictions panel where you can attach (or detach) a route restriction group holding the items that are not to be delivered to this route. The restriction will also apply for all destinations and customers for this route. |

- Shipment type
- Enter a code from the Shipment type table if you want to take advantage of the specification possibilities incorporated in a shipment type. (See Shipment type automatic actions for more information). For example, you can specify which automatic actions that should take place when the shipment is closed or updated as shipped. These weekdays are used in conjunction with the fields to the right of them. Note: All dates are automatically checked against the Calendar file. There will be no deliveries on the days that have been marked as holidays.
- Dep
- Indicate whether or not there will be a dispatch on this weekday. Note: At least one weekday must be set to YES.

Note: If cut-off time is earlier than the departure time, then you do not have to specify a cut-off day unless it is on a different day. (If a day is not defined, then the system will assume that the cut-off day is the same as the departure day.)

Work with routes, Deletion (DIR01408)
Work with routes (DIR01411)
On this panel you (optionally) define:
- the pick release time and day details denoting when pick lists are allowed to be printed for outbound shipments. This allows you to keep the orders open as long as possible should you need to change the quantity or add more lines and gives you the space and time to do the picking to make the departure date. This information will be used by the Shipment preparation process (copied to the shipment header) to plan the dispatch of goods from your warehouse. When an outbound shipment is created the pick release time and day is copied from the route to the shipment. It will be possible to change the pick release time on shipment level.
- the wake up call time and day details denoting when the customer on the outbound shipment wants to be called before the shipment departs
Trigger an alert if the pick list failed to be printed
An alert can be configured to flag the user should a pick list fail to be printed. The event type for this alert is PCKLNOTPRT (Pick list not printed). See Configure the system to send/receive alert messages for instructions.

- Weekdays 1-7
- Displays the days of the week that the pick list can be printed. These fields are used to plan the printing of the pick lists for outbound shipments via a pick release time and day. These weekdays are used in conjunction with the fields to the right of them. Note: All dates are automatically checked against the Calendar file.
- Pick release time
- Optional entry. The pick release time can only be entered if a departure is scheduled for this day (i.e. the Dep field on the previous panel is set to YES for this day). Enter the pick release time denoting what time of the day the pick list is allowed to be printed. When an outbound shipment is created the pick release time is copied from the route to the shipment. It will be possible to change the pick release time on shipment header level.
- Pick release day
- Optional entry. The pick release day can only be entered if a departure is scheduled for this day (i.e. the Dep field on the previous panel is set to YES for this day). Enter the pick release day denoting what day of the week the pick list is allowed to be printed. When pick release time is later than departure time a pick release day prior to this departure day must be entered. If pick release time was entered and not the day, then the departure day is defaulted when you click OK if the pick release time is not greater than the departure time. Likewise, if the pick release day was entered and not the time then the pick release time will be defaulted to the departure time when you click OK. When a shipment is created the pick release day is copied from the route to the shipment. It will be possible to change the pick release day on shipment header level.
- Wake up time

Enter the wake up time denoting what time of the day the customer on the outbound shipment wants to be called before the shipment departs. This information is copied to the generated route list where it can be changed, should, e.g., a customer require that you place a call earlier on a particular day.

- Monitor start time
- This field is only displayed if the WAKEUP (Wake up call interface) function is activated in the Function control file. It is an optional entry. Enter the monitor start time denoting the time at which the system starts checking entered sales orders. This time and the Cut-off time of the route (the time when the outbound shipment is closed for new orders) are the driving factors of this functionality, and determine when the customer should receive a wake up call, i.e. a customer should receive a wake up call when no order has been entered between the Monitor start time of the route and the Cut-off time of the route. This information is copied to the generated route list where it can be changed.
