On this panel you order a printout of the interest invoices in the proposal, together with an interest invoice journal. You may select to print the interest invoices on one printer and the journals on another, if, e.g., different paper formats are used.
The interest invoices are printed in the language of each debtor. The A/R will also be updated with the new transactions. The G/L postings are created via pseudo accounting. If cost centre substitution is used for any of the pseudo accounts, then:
- If the Group by cost centre field is set to NO for the applied Interest rule then cost centre of the debtor from the Business partner file will be inserted, and not the cost centre of the original document on which the interest has been calculated.
- If the Group by cost centre is set to YES for the applied Interest rule then cost centre of the overdue document(s) for which the interest has been calculated will be inserted.
This means that, depending on the Group by cost centre parameter, the proposed Interest invoice is created per Debtor, Currency and Cost centre or just per Debtor and Currency. This also applies at update of the proposed invoice.
When the G/L postings are updated to the G/L, the following reports will be printed, under the following circumstances:
- Proposal
- Displays the proposal number and description.
- Invoice date
- Enter the document date for the created interest invoices. The system defaults the “Calculation date” selected at the proposal creation, but it can be changed.
- Accounting period
- Enter the accounting period for the interest transactions. This period must not be before the accounting periods of any of the documents that are active in the proposal.
- Voucher date
- Enter the voucher date for the created interest invoices. The system proposes the today’s date.
- Voucher type
- Enter a voucher type which is valid for the IINV routine. The voucher type controls the voucher numbering from the voucher number series defined for the type.
If voucher break level 1 is used, the system will select the number after last used in the voucher number series for all the G/L postings created. The interest invoices will get their document numbers from the number series defined for the document type related to system document type IND. Voucher break level 1 must be selected to be able to summarise the postings generated when updating the G/L.
If voucher break level 2 is used, the voucher and document numbers will be the same, i.e., one number per interest invoice. Document numbers are retrieved first, from the number series defined for the document type related to system document type IND.
The system will select the number after last used in the series for the first interest invoice, and the next number for the second one, and so on. The voucher numbers will be set to the same numbers, so the voucher number series must be synchronized with the document number series. If the voucher numbering fails, the journal will not be updated, but will have to be maintained in the journal maintenance routine.
- Voucher break level
- Enter 1 if one voucher number, the number after last used in the series, should be used for all the G/L postings generated from the interest issuing.
Enter 2 if each interest note should have a separate voucher number for its postings; the same as the document number retrieved from the number series defined for the document type related to system document type IND. The voucher number series and document number series must overlap, or else the journal will not be updated.
Invoice print
- Printer queue
- Indicate which printer should be used for the printout of the interest invoices. The default value in this field is retrieved from your user profile in the iSeries. If you have updated an Interest invoice proposal earlier today then the printout parameters (printer queue, number of copies and hold in the spool file) you have chosen for Journal print (yes for Journal print not for the Invoice print) are defaulted both for the Invoice as well as for the Journal print.
- Number of copies
- Indicate the number of printout copies you want, if more than one is required.
- Hold on spool file
- The default is NO, meaning that you will get a printout as soon as the printer becomes available. If you change to YES, the printout is held in the output queue, and can be requested at a later time. This is done by, e.g., system commands WRKSPLF or WRKOUTQ.
- Save after print
- Indicate if the printout in the spool file should be saved after printing.
Journal print
- Remarks
- In this field you can enter text or comments that will be printed on the cover page. If this field is left blank, then your user ID will be printed.
