When this panel is first displayed, it is empty. By entering an item code, a selection of warehouses and the warehouse balances in which the item is stored will be displayed. You can view warehouse balances for the following:
- normal, logical and/or physical warehouses. The latter two can only be displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) function is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated).
- transit warehouse
- only warehouses that hold a quantity
In addition, the total stock situation for all warehouses in which the entered item code is stored will be displayed.
Quantity situation for item matrix items
To view the quantity situation for item matrix items, enter the item code in its entirety or just the first segment of the item code and click OK. You will access the Warehouse balance enquiry, Item matrix panel where you can view the available, on hand and on order situation per warehouse.

Non-conf certs | This function key is only displayed if you are viewing Quantity in QC/Usable on hand/Unusable on hand information. Access the Non-conformity certificate enquiry panel. | ||||||||
Inventory contracts | This function key is only displayed if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated and an item was entered that is connected to an inventory contract. Access the Inventory contract balance enquiry for this item where you can view the balances for all inventory contract lines, per inventory contract, regardless of the status, available quantity, start and end dates. | ||||||||
Item information | Access the Item information panel. | ||||||||
View controls | This function key is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) function is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated). Define the default view denoting what kinds of warehouses will be displayed, choosing from the following:

- Item
- Displays the item code and description identifying the item for which you are viewing warehouse balance information.
- Unit
- Displays the item’s unit, but can be changed. The type of unit displayed is governed by the default enquiry standard system unit defined for your user profile in the System user profile table (the Dft enq std sys unit field). The value in this field is retrieved in accordance with your user profile’s type of unit in relation to the definitions made for the item on the Item file/System units panel. If this field is changed, then the quantities on the panel are changed accordingly.
- Sourcing pol
- This field is only displayed if you accessed this program from the Customer service enquiry and the item/customer combination you entered there has a Sourcing policy. However, it is also displayed if a Sourcing policy is defined for the item in the Item file. This field displays the Sourcing policy code connected to your customer. The warehouses that are grouped under this Sourcing policy will be displayed according to the sequence defined in the Sourcing policy table. The warehouses listed beneath the dotted line also have the item in stock, but do not belong to the sourcing policy.
- SP
- This column is set to YES if a sourcing policy exists for the item/warehouse.
- Warehouse
- This column displays the warehouse(s) in which the item is stored. Warehouse 999 displays the total balance for all warehouses.
- Available
- This column displays the available quantity which is calculated according to the following formula:
Stock on hand
– Sales orders components within planning time
– Held batches
– Expired batches (only if batch controlled item has Date handling)
– Batches under incubation (only if batch controlled item has Date handling)
= AvailableDepending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. - On hand
- This column displays the physical stock on hand quantity. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - On order
- This column displays the total quantity on purchase orders and manually entered orders. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Reserved
- This column displays the total quantity on sales orders components, manually entered reservations and quantity on return notes. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Transit on hand
- This column displays the transit stock on hand quantity. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. - Usable on hand
- This column displays the total usable quantity in the non-conforming stock. This quantity has been rejected during the quality control function, or has been moved to the non-conforming stock, and is defined as usable. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Unusable on hand
- This column displays the total unusable quantity in the non-conforming stock. This quantity has been rejected during the quality control function, or has been moved to the non-conforming stock, and is defined as unusable. - Supplied from whs
- This column displays the warehouse from which the item is supplied in a DRP environment.
- Planning time
- This column displays the planning time in days. For normal deliveries (i.e. not BtB) this is the sum of the administration days, lead time and transport time. For BtB (Back to back order) transit deliveries it is the sum of BtB lead time and transport time.
- Lead time
- This column displays the lead time indicating the number of days it normally takes from Purchase order generation to the goods being sent from the supplier’s premises.
- Trpt time
- This column displays the transportation time. The transport time is the time from when the item is sent from the supplier to the time when the item is reported to the receiving warehouse. The value is retrieved from the Supplier transport time table or the Internal transport time table.
- Adm time
- This column displays the administration time in days, which is the time it generally takes to handle a purchase order, from the creation of a purchase suggestion to creating the order. The administration time is retrieved from the DIS control file. No administration time is displayed if you set the Transit field to YES at the bottom of this panel.
- Transit planning time
- This column displays the planning time in days for transit stock. For normal deliveries (i.e. not BtB) this is the sum of the administration days, lead time and transport time. For BtB (Back to back order) transit deliveries it is the sum of BtB lead time and transport time.
- Transit lead time
- This column displays the lead time for transit stock indicating the number of days it normally takes from Purchase order generation to the goods being sent from the supplier’s premises.
- Transit trpt time
- This column displays the transportation time for transit stock. The transport time is the time from when the item is sent from the supplier to the time when the item is reported to the receiving warehouse. - Transit adm time

- This column displays the unsellable quantity. - This column displays the quantity that is under stock take. - QC location
- This column displays the quantity that is in the QC location. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - NCC usable
- This column displays the usable NCC quantity. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. - Warehouse characteristic code
- This column can only be displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated). The warehouse characteristic code, which is used to differentiate your warehouses into physical, normal and logical warehouses, denotes the type of stock the warehouse handles (for internally and/or externally owned stock).

- Physical warehouse

The column displays the physical warehouse to which the logical warehouse is connected.
- Held quantity
- This column displays the held quantity for the batch controlled item in the warehouse. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Expired quantity
- This column is only displayed if the batch controlled item has Date handling defined in the Item file. Displays the sum of the item in the warehouse that has expired and is not available for sale. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Under incubation
- This column is only displayed if the batch controlled item has Date handling defined in the Item file. Displays the quantity of the item in the warehouse which is under incubation and expected to mature at a later date. Depending on what has been activated/defined in the system, and if the unit you enter for the chosen item is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. This quantity will be displayed with two units in the same quantity field. The partial units could be displayed with decimal positions for the Display/Entry unit or by a dual display/entry of both the Display/Entry unit and the Stock unit separated by a user-defined delimiter. - Whs description
- This column displays the description of the warehouse.
- Item
- Enter the item code, or item alias, for which you want to view warehouse balance information.
- Unit
- Displays the item’s unit, but can be changed. The type of unit displayed is governed by the default enquiry standard system unit defined for your user profile in the System user profile table (the Dft enq std sys unit field). The value in this field is retrieved in accordance with your user profile’s type of unit in relation to the definitions made for the item on the Item file/System units panel. If this field is changed, then the quantities on the panel are changed accordingly.
Note: If you enter a unit that is equal to the D/E-unit for the item, the quantities will be displayed according to D/E-unit. See About display/entry unit handling for more information.
- Only with qty
- Set this field to YES if you only want to view those warehouses that hold a quantity. Otherwise all active warehouses for the item will be displayed.
- Physical whs
- This field is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated). Enter the physical warehouse identity to view the warehouse balance for the logical warehouse(s) that are connected to this physical warehouse.
