The purpose of this function is to allow the user to define prices in different currencies. These new values will be displayed on the Sales prices panel in the Item file.
Price adjustments can be specified for every currency in both the Currency table and this function.
Any, or all, of the following fields can be used by this function to define a currency change criteria:
- Item price group
- Supplier
- Target currency
- Exchange rate
- Unit
- Target price list
- From date. You can also specify the from date. Only prices valid at selected date and later are selected for recalculation to new currency.
These fields are the defining parameters of the change currency function. By selecting one or more fields a selection criteria is created. The change will be applied only to what matches the criteria.
The currency change will only be applied to the records that match all of the requirements specified by the criteria. The exchange rate is retrieved from the Exchange rate table, however, another exchange rate can be manually defined.
