This panel displays the different warehouses, retrieved from the Warehouse table. The warehouses in which the item currently can be stored are marked with Active in the Status column.
Note: You cannot add a new warehouse to this panel. That must be done in the Warehouse table maintenance program.
Options
Activate | Select this option to activate the item for a warehouse, i.e. the item can be stored in the warehouse. Note: If you want to activate a logical warehouse to which a physical warehouse is connected, you must activate the physical warehouse first. Either activate the physical warehouse first, using this option, or use the Fast activate option for the logical warehouse. |
Change | Select this option to change information for the item in the warehouse. |
Inactivate | Select this option to inactivate the item for a warehouse, i.e. the item will no longer be stored in the warehouse. This option can only be used for items that are already activated. Note: This warehouse may not be made inactive, if it has been previously activated for delivery schedule handling. Likewise, you cannot inactivate a physical warehouse if at least one connected logical warehouse is still activated for the item. |
Fast activate | Select this option to activate the item for the warehouse without displaying any activation panel. If mandatory information is missing or field validation is not correct the panel with the error will be displayed, just like it is when the activatation is done using the Activate option. Note: If the warehouse you selected to fast activate is defined as a physical warehouse, the physical warehouse will first be activated and then the Logical warehouses, Fast activate panel will be displayed listing the logical warehouses that are connected to the physical warehouse. From this panel the activation can be done for the logical warehouse(s). If a logical warehouse is selected for activation and the connected physical warehouse is not active the Physical warehouse, Fast activate panel will be displayed listing the physical warehouse, where you must first activate the physical warehouse. |
Whs info | Select this option to maintain DC1 Distribution warehouse information for the item. This option will also activate the item in the warehouse, if not already done. |
Whs management | This option is only displayed if DC1 Warehouse Management is installed and activated. Select this option to maintain DC1 Warehouse Management information for the item. This option can only be used for activated warehouses. |
MFG info | This option is only displayed if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Select this option to maintain DC1 Manufacturing information for the item. This option can only be used for activated warehouses. |
Inventory control | This option is only displayed if DC1 Inventory Control is installed and activated. Select this option to maintain DC1 Inventory Control information for the item. This option can only be used for activated warehouses. |
Sup info | This option is only applicable for activated warehouses. Select this option if you want to connect suppliers per warehouse, thereby overriding the ranking and main supplier defined on item/supplier information level. |

Selection fields
- Warehouse
- Indicates the warehouse code.
- Name
- Indicates the name of the warehouse.
- Physical warehouse
- This column is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated). It lists the identity of the physical warehouse.
- Warehouse characteristics
- This column is only displayed if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file and is applicable for both the Stock ownership functionality as well as the Contract Managed Inventory functionality (if the DC1 Contract Managed Inventory (CMI) application is activated). The warehouse characteristic code, which is used to differentiate your warehouses into physical, normal and logical warehouses, denotes the type of stock the warehouse handles (for internally and/or externally owned stock).

- Status
- The Active status is displayed if the item is available (activated) in this warehouse. The status is set to Inactive if it is no longer stocked. If a status is not displayed, then the item has never been stocked in this warehouse.
- WHM
- This column is only displayed if DC1 Warehouse Management is installed and activated. Indicates if DC1 Warehouse Management information has been defined for the item in this warehouse.
- MFG
- This column is only displayed if DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicates if DC1 Manufacturing information has been defined for the item in this warehouse.
- IC
- This column is only displayed if DC1 Inventory Control is installed and activated. Indicates if DC1 Inventory Control information has been defined for the item in this warehouse.
- Sup
- This field is only displayed if DC1 Inventory Control is installed and activated. Indicates the warehouse that is supplying the item. If a value is not displayed then the item will be supplied by an external supplier.
- Lvl
- This field is only displayed if DC1 Inventory Control is installed and activated. Indicates the distribution level. This details at which level (in the distribution network) the warehouse resides.
Item file maintenance, Warehouse inactivation (DIR00704)
This panel is used to inactivate the active warehouse for a particular item, i.e. the item will no longer be stored in the warehouse.
- Warehouse
- Enter the warehouse code which is to be inactivated.
- Name
- Enter the warehouse name.
Item file maintenance, Logical/Physical warehouses, Fast activate (DIR00707)
The panel title differs depending on if you selected to fast activate a physical or logical warehouse.
If a physical warehouse was selected for fast activation, this panel displays all logical warehouses that are connected to the physical warehouse. You have the possibility to select the Fast activate option to activate the applicable logical warehouse(s) here.
If a logical warehouse was selected for fast activation, and the connecting physical warehouse has not yet been activated, this panel displays the physical warehouse. You must select the Fast activate option to first activate the physical warehouse.

Fast activate | Select this option to fast activate the item for the logical or physical warehouse. |
- Item
- Displays the item code.
- Physical warehouse
- If a physical warehouse was selected to fast activate, this field displays the identity and description of the physical warehouse that you are fast activating.
- Logical warehouse
- If a logical warehouse was selected to fast activate, this field displays the identity and description of the logical warehouse that you are fast activating.
- Warehouse
- Depending on what you selected to fast activate, this column lists the identity of the physical warehouse, or the logical warehouse(s) that are connected to the physical warehouse.
- Name
- This column lists the warehouse name.
