This panel is used when the division concept is activated. A division is a group of cost centres. The division concept offers a possibility to present overall information on division level, rather than on the more detailed cost centre level.
To be able to use the division concept you have to define the Cost centre account part field in G/L control file and enter one or more divisions in this table.

Work with divisions (GDMD17204)
This panel is used when the division concept is activated. A division is a group of cost centres. The division concept offers a possibility to present overall information on division level, rather than on the more detailed cost centre level.
The division entity will mainly be used as a selection criteria for A/P and A/R enquiries, reports, external documents and payment proposals. In the G/L, such a grouping is achieved by the use of summary identities.
To be able to use the division concept you have to define the Cost centre account part field in G/L control file and enter one or more divisions in this table.
A cost centre can only be attached to one division but a division can comprise several cost centres. It is possible to move cost centres between divisions. In that case you may use the DC1 utility programs to re-create A/P and A/R balances and statistics, so that they reflect the new division structure.
