This panel displays the existing inventory for the warehouse displayed in the header. The warehouse defined for your user profile is defaulted, but you can change it by clicking Select warehouse. If a warehouse is not defined for your user profile, then the main warehouse from the DIS control file is defaulted.
You are able to view all inventory transactions via two different views:
- Location balance view
- Item balance view
If WHM is activated for the warehouse in the header, then the Location balance view is displayed when you first access the panel. If WHM is not activated for the warehouse, then the Item balance view is displayed. Note: If the WMS application (external warehouse management system) is activated and the selected warehouse is activated for WMS, then the Location balance view is not available.
By selecting the applicable option from this panel, normal inventory, transit inventory and NCC inventory can be adjusted or moved to another warehouse.
This routine also supports the update and validation of files received from an external client (e.g., Iptor WM1). If any transactions sent from an external client end up in error, you will automatically access Transaction in error mode when you select the warehouse from the initial Work with inventory panel. The erroneous transactions can be viewed and manually corrected (if applicable) by switching in Transactions in error mode. Example of errors are:
- Cost price is missing.
- Standard cost price in the Item file is zero.
- The inventory transaction lacks information (e.g., a transaction for a batch item was sent but the batch ID was not supplied).

If the error is caused because of a lack of information, the error should ideally be corrected in the external client if possible; else in this routine after communication with the warehouse personnel. |
