This table is preloaded with fields from the Basic data panel in the Item file that can be possible to override when you generate an item using the Item classification functionality.

- This column lists the Basic data panel field that is allowed to be used in the Item field override functionality.
- Description
- This column list the descriptive text for Field override field.
Work with item field override (DMR10004)
On this panel you activate the preloaded field if you want to make use of it in the Item field override functionality when defining your characteristics. This will allow you to connect this field to a characteristic when defining your characteristics on header level. When applying the classification definitions in the Item file to generate an item, the connected Item field override field will appear in the list of characteristics (if the characteristic is part of the grouping structure you selected). You will be able to select a value (from the table for this Item field override field) and thereby override any value defined for that field in the Item template. It will be loaded into the applicable field in the Item file.
- Field override
- Displays the Basic data panel field allowed to be used in the Item field override functionality. If you want to make use of this field in this functionality you must activate it.
- Description
- Displays the descriptive text for the Field override field.
- Validation table
- Indicates the maintenance table for the field allowed to be set up as Field override within a characteristic. The values held in the table will be available for the applicable characteristic when selecting values during the process of Applying Item Classification definitions to create items. Note: No values will be saved at characteristic detail level for a characteristic that is set up with an Item field override. Any maintenance of the values from which you can select must be done in the corresponding Validation table.
- DIS routines ctl key
- Indicates the key value assigned to this item related field.
- Maintenance program
- Indicates the maintenance program for the table connection.
- Active
- All allowed fields are preloaded as activated (YES) by default. Set to NO if the field is not desired to be used in the Item field override functionality.
