This panel can be accessed from several locations. The title of this panel and the information in the top section differs depending on from where this panel was accessed. The following titles could be displayed:

This program is used to set up exceptions to what was defined in any of the above mentioned programs, disqualifying, e.g., certain customers or customer groups, from receiving:

  • the pricing or discounts set up in the sales pricing method.
  • the promotion price or discount set up in the sales promotion.
  • the rebate/discount claim set up in the SMS agreement.
  • the rebate set up in the customer or supplier rebate agreement.

For example, if one of your keys in the header of any of the above mentioned programs is customer group, you may want to exclude certain customers within that group from receiving the pricing or discounts or rebates. In such a case you would create an exception with customer as the exception key. Your exclusion can be indefinitely or during a certain time frame.

Selection fields

Pricing method
If you accessed this program from Work with sales pricing methods, this field displays the sales pricing method for which the exception is valid.
Promotion
If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, this field displays the promotion for which the exception is valid.
Agreement
Depending from where you accessed this program the following information is displayed:

  • SMS agreement and version number for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with SMS agreements.
  • Customer rebate agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with customer rebate agreements.
  • Supplier rebate agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with supplier rebate agreements.
  • Target pricing agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with target pricing agreements.
Rebate payer
If you accessed this program from Work with SMS agreements, this field displays the rebate payer and description.
Agreement start date
If you accessed this program from Work with customer/supplier rebate agreements or Work with target pricing agreements, this field displays the start date of the customer or supplier rebate agreement or target pricing agreement.
Agreement end date
If you accessed this program from Work with customer/supplier rebate agreements or Work with target pricing agreements, this field displays the end date of the customer or supplier rebate agreement or target pricing agreement.
Exception
Depending on from where you accessed this program, this column lists all exceptions that have already been defined for the following:

Description
This column lists a description of each of the exceptions that have been established.
Valid fr
This column lists the date (if any) from which the exception is valid. If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, the start date of the sales promotion is retrieved and cannot be changed.
Valid to
This column lists the date (if any) to which the exception is valid. If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, the end date of the sales promotion is retrieved and cannot be changed.

Pricing method
If you accessed this program from Work with sales pricing methods, this field displays the sales pricing method for which the exception is valid.
Promotion
If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, this field displays the promotion for which the exception is valid.
Agreement
Depending from where you accessed this program the following information is displayed:

  • SMS agreement and version number for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with SMS agreements.
  • Customer rebate agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with customer rebate agreements.
  • Supplier rebate agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with supplier rebate agreements.
  • Target pricing agreement for which the exception is valid, if you accessed this program from Work with target pricing agreements.
Rebate payer
If you accessed this program from Work with SMS agreements, this field displays the rebate payer and description.

Exception
Enter the exception code.
Description
Enter the description for the exception code.
Valid from date
Optional entry. If you want this exception to be valid during a certain time period, enter the from date. Completion of this field is also recommended if you want to keep and track price history and retrieve, (via the Sales related keys where-used enquiry), actual prices and discounts by date. Leave blank if you want the exception to be valid indefinitely. Note: If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, the start date of the sales promotion is retrieved and cannot be changed.
Valid to date
Optional entry. If you want this exception to be valid during a certain time period, enter the end date. Completion of this field is also recommended if you want to keep and track price history and retrieve, (via the Sales related keys where-used enquiry), actual prices and discounts by date. Leave blank if you want the exception to be valid indefinitely. Note: If you accessed this program from Work with sales promotions, the end date of the sales promotion is retrieved and cannot be changed.
Exception keys
Select up to five keys by clicking the window prompt to the right of the fields. For example, if one of your keys on the Header panel of the calling program is customer group, you may want to exclude certain customers within that group from receiving, e.g., the pricing or discounts set up in the sales pricing method or the rebate for a customer rebate agreement. In such a case you would choose customer as the exception key. (You enter the actual value for customer on the detail panel). Your exclusion can be indefinitely or during a certain time frame (Valid from/to date fields). Note: The exception key combination cannot be the same as those defined on the Header panel of the calling program.

Any of the following key fields can be used to define the selection criteria, but they must first be activated in the DIS control keys table to be available for selection:
