Selection fields
Field –> window reference maintenance (WGRD1004)
This program is used when windows are to be generated. You define which window should be displayed when F4 is pressed in a field, or the prompt is clicked, and how the window should be positioned.
If anything is changed in the table, you have to regenerate the window by using the Generate window program.
- Field name
- Subset
- Enter the subset to which the field belongs.
- Display file
- Enter the name of the display file. If you enter *ALL, the values entered on the panel will apply to all display files where the field exists.
- Application
- Window
- Enter a valid window from the Window definition file, which should be displayed when F4 is pressed, or the prompt is clicked, in the field.
- Identity
- Change date
- Modification number

Note: When windows are generated, you can select to generate only those records with a certain modification number. Therefore, a modification number should be entered.
- Pos on key/numeric
- Optional entries. In this field you define how the window should be positioned. Enter values and/or field names. You are allowed to enter ten different values/field names. Values must be enclosed within apostrophes, like “NNN”, and fields must be defined in the program that uses the window.
Example with value When you press F4 or click the prompt icon in the Handler field on the Work with sales orders panel, you always want to position the window at signature code 001. Enter “001” in this field.
If *FLD is entered, the value in the input field where the cursor was placed when F4 was pressed or the prompt was clicked, will be displayed at the top of the window, i.e. the window will be positioned at this value.
The one-position field to the right, is only used if you entered a field name in the left field. Set this field to YES if the field entered is a numeric field. Otherwise leave the field blank.

- First user key
- Enter the key number on which the window should be positioned. This field should only be completed if the first key (if several key parts) should not be used.
