In this routine you are able to view all containers, non-confirmed containers, and confirmed containers. Note: Confirmed containers are excluded, by default, when you first access this panel (i.e. the More selections setting for the Status field is set to exclude containers with status 60). If you want to view the confirmed containers, click the More selections function key and clear the settings in the Status field.
The warehouse defined for your user profile is defaulted if defined there. If a warehouse is not defined for your user profile, then the main warehouse from the DIS control file is defaulted. You can change to another warehouse by clicking the Select warehouse function key.
Options
Display | Select this option to access the Work with containers, Header details panel to view the details for the container header. |
Lines | Select this option to access the Work with containers lines panel to view the lines. |
Confirm | Select this option to access the Work with pickings, Detail lines panel where you can enter the picked quantity for the container and then confirm the container. |
PQC confirm | This option is only applicable if the container was defined for pick quality control confirmation (i.e. the PQC column is set to YES). Select this option to access the Work with pickings, Detail lines panel where you can report the quantity and then perform a PQC confirmation for the container. |
Print pick label | Select this option to manually print the container pick labels for the individual items. One label will be printed for each pick unit and only one pick unit can be stored in one container. Pick labels can only be printed for containers with items for which the label code is set up for the pick unit on the Item file maintenance, Location types, Pick units panel. These are automatically printed when the pick list is printed if the information required is set up, but you can also print them via this option. |
View log | Select this option to access the Container log enquiry to view the logged entries for the container. |
Print container label | Select this option to manually print the container label. If the required information is set up, this is automatically printed when the container is confirmed, but you can also choose to print the container label via this option, or via the Container label printout menu item. |
Re-print pick list | Select this option to re-print the pick list. |
Function keys
All/Unconfirmed/Confirmed | Toggle between viewing all containers, unconfirmed containers and confirmed containers. Note: Confirmed containers are excluded, by default, when you first access this panel (i.e. the More selections setting for the Status field is set to exclude containers with status 60). If you want to view the confirmed containers, click the More selections function key and clear the settings in the Status field. |
Select warehouse | Access the Select warehouse panel where you can select another warehouse for the container confirmation. |
Selection fields
- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse for the container.
- Container
- This column lists the container number.
- Shipment
- If the sales order line was attached to an outbound shipment, this column displays the outbound shipment number carrying the container.
- Pick list
- This column lists the pick list number for the container.
- Cont type
- This column displays the container type.
- Customer
- This column displays the customer to whom the container will be dispatched.
- PQC
- This column denotes if a pick quality control type is assigned to any item in the container. If YES, then the pick list must be run through the PQC confirmation process, i.e. report the quantity and then perform a PQC confirmation which is done by clicking the PQC confirm option.
- St
- This column displays the status of the container.

- Name
- This column displays the name of the customer.
- Route
- This column displays the ID of the route on which the container will be shipped if the sales order was connected to a route.
- Departure
- This column displays the departure on which the container will be shipped.
- Shipping agent
- This column displays the shipping agent for the departure.
- Destination
- This column displays the destination to where the container will be shipped.
- Gross weight
- This column displays the gross weight of the container.
- Current content volume
- This column displays the current volume for the container.
- Cold storage items
- This column denotes if any items included in the container are defined as cold storage items.
- Inflammable items
- This column denotes if any items included in the container are defined as inflammable items.
- Fragile items
- This column denotes if any items included in the container are defined as fragile items.
- Pick list confirmed
- This column denotes if pick list confirmation has been performed for the container.
- Creation date
- This column displays the date when the container was created.
- Creation time
- This column displays at what time the container was created.
- Confirmation date
- If the container has been confirmed, this column displays the date when the container was confirmed.
- Confirmation time
- If the container has been confirmed, this column displays at what time the container was confirmed.
- Physical container number
- This functionality is not currently supported.
- Scheduled lines
- This column denotes if any scheduled lines exist in the container.
- Labelling code
- This column displays the labelling code (if any) for the container. This is used when labels are printed for the container.
- Batch controlled items
- This column denotes if any items in the container are batch controlled.
- Physical warehouse
- This column is only available to display if the STKOWNER (Stock Ownership) functionality is activated in the Function control file. It lists the physical warehouse to which the logical or normal warehouse is attached.
- Normal item
- This column denotes if any items included in the container are defined as normal items.
Work with containers, Header details (DSR04704)
On this panel you view the header details for the container.
- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse and description.
- Shipment
- If the sales order line was attached to an outbound shipment, this field displays the outbound shipment number carrying the container.
- Pick list
- Displays the pick list number for the container.
- Status
- Displays the status of the container.

- Container
- Displays the container number.
- Labelling code
- Displays the labelling code (if any) for the container.

- Current content vol (M3)
- Displays the current volume of the contents for the container.

- Cold storage items
- This field is set to YES if any items included in the container are defined as cold storage items.
- Inflammable items
- This field is set to YES if any items included in the container are defined as inflammable items.
- Fragile items
- This field is set to YES if any items included in the container are defined as fragile items.
- Normal items
- This field is set to YES if any items included in the container are defined as normal items.
- Pick quality control
- This field is set to YES if the container is to be pick quality controlled, i.e. the pick list must be run through the PQC confirmation process, i.e. report the quantity and then perform a PQC confirmation which is done by clicking the PQC confirm option.
- Creation date/time
- Displays the date and time when the container was created.
- Confirm date/time
- Displays the date and time when the container was confirmed.
