The title of this panel differs depending on what you are working with (i.e. Report columns, Report versions or Report lines). On this panel you can filter information for each valid statistic key in your report column, report line or report version. You can make detailed selections by combining range and mask selection for a key field. A key must satisfy all selection criteria in order to be included in the selection.
Note: This information is only applicable if you are working in the DC1 5250 and JWalk environments: By clicking the Fold function key, you will see to the far right, within brackets, the length and field type for each key field. A means that the key field is an alphanumeric field (can consist of both characters and digits) X means that the key field is a numeric field (can only consist of digits).
Note: This information is only applicable if you are working in the DC1 5250 and JWalk environments: For the Item key field, the following is displayed: (35 A) This means that the field is 35 positions long and that it is an alphanumeric field.
Function keys
Description | Retrieve the description for the selected key. |
- Report
- Displays the selected report.
- Key
- Select the applicable key that you want to filter values on.
- Description
- Click Description to display the description of the selected key.
- Key value
- You can narrow down the selection of data that could be retrieved for the selected keys by stating a range (from – to) of values or a mask.
- From/To
- You have the following possibilities from which to choose:
Selection Result Enter a From value but leave the To field blank Will receive all permitted values starting with the entered from value. Enter a To value but leave the From field blank Will receive all permitted values up to and including the entered To value Enter a From/To range of values Will receive all permitted values starting from the entered from value, up to and including the entered to value. Leave all fields blank (From, To and Mask). Will not receive any values on the report. Enter dots (…) in the From and/or To fields. Will be able to substitute with real values during the printing of the report. This function lets you use the same base report for several purposes. Can make multiple selections for the same key. The selection may or may not overlap. E.g., Key Main has two from/to selections: From = A and To = D and From = D and To = F. The system will select all permitted values within the range A up to and including F.
