From this panel you add or maintain the configurable parent item / components and start the process of connecting real items from the Item file to a parameter previously defined in the Configurator parameter table. This is important if the configuration is to function.

Select this option to maintain alternative bill of routing constraints for a configurator item. Note: This option can only be used for a configurable parent item, i.e. when the configurator item refers to a bill of material. |
Validation |
Select this option to maintain validation constraints for a configurator item. Note: This option can only be used for a configurable parent item, i.e. when the configurator item refers to a bill of material. |
Alt selections |
Select this option to maintain alternative selection constraints for a configurator item. These will be used to identify and select the item when the bill of material is generated. |
Simulate |
Select this option to simulate a configuration. |
Standard items |
Select this option to view the standard items that have been created for a configurator item. |

Change mode |
Toggle between viewing All items / Configuration items (i.e., only those items connected to a bill of material will be displayed) / Selectable items (i.e., only those items without a connection to a bill of material will be displayed). |
Add item classification |
Add a new configuration based on Item classification data (profile 1 and 2). During sales order line entry there is an option to copy a purchased item that was generated via Item classification to Product Configurator. The information entered via this function key will be used as a template during the copy process to create a new configured item. |
