The purpose of this routine is to create a backup of the DC1 system to be used in the installation procedures to install the system. You can either save DC1 or parts of DC1 to save files, that you can save to tape later on. Or you can save save files to tape.
On selection panels you decide that you want to save, you can always re-save parts that was saved earlier on. Then save to tape the system will first save program QINSTAPP and DC1 installation library (will be created by the system, before save), then selected save files.

- Write to save file
- Set this field to YES to save DC1 or parts of DC1 to save files. On the following selection panels you can select what to save. Set this field to NO if you want to save save files to tape.
- Life-cycle libraries
- Set this field to YES if you want to save life-cycle libraries for selected releases and selected release/languages to save files. Set this field to NO if you do not want to save life-cycle libraries to save files or if you want to save to tape.
- Write to tape
- Set this field to YES to save save files with DC1 or parts of DC1 to tape. A selection panel will list all save files available. Set this field to NO if you want to save to save files.
