This table holds connection data to the IFS (Integrated File System). IFS communicator types are used in different routines to transfer information from/to the IFS.
Options
Trans details | Select this option to enter/view transaction details for the IFS communicator type. |
Open batch details | Select this option to enter data for an IFS communicator type needed when transferring transactions from the IFS in Work with open batches. |
Authority | Select this option to connect the IFS communicator object to the applicable authority group. |
Selection fields
- IFS communicator
- This column lists the IFS communicator types that have been defined in the system.
- Receive
- Indicates if the IFS communicator type is allowed for receiving transactions from the IFS.
- Send
- Indicates if the IFS communicator is allowed for sending transactions to the IFS.
- Folder name
- Displays the IFS folder name from/to which the information should be received/sent.
- File name
- Displays the name that identifies the file that should be transferred from/to the IFS.
- Company prefix
- Indicates if the IFS file name should start with a company code and underscore as the prefix name. For example, DV_paym.
- Backup
- Indicates if a copy of the document/file should be created on the IFS.
- Upd interface files
- Indicates if the Transfer program will update the DC1 interface files.
- Check transfer file
- Indicates if the system should check that transactions exist in the transfer file before the receiving/sending process is started from the Transfer transactions from/to IFS routine.
- Trans detail mnt pgm
- Displays the maintenance program that should be executed when maintaining transaction details.
- Trans detail cpy pgm
- Displays the copy program that should be executed when copying transaction details.
- Trans detail del pgm
- Displays the deletion program that should be executed when deleting transaction details.
- Transfer program
- Displays the transfer program that should be used to transfer data from/to the IFS.
- Transfer file
- Displays the transfer file that should be used to transfer data from/to the IFS.
Work with IFS communicator types (GDMD71604)
On this panel you define a new or maintain an existing IFS communicator type.
Function keys
- IFS communicator
- Enter a code to identify the new IFS communicator type you are defining.
- Folder name
- Enter the IFS folder name from/to which the information should be received/sent.
- File name
- Enter a name to identify the file that will be transferred from/to the IFS. The more variables you use, the more unique is the name.
Parameter Description P Parameter 1 (20 characters) – for A/P payment proposals, this is the proposal number. p Parameter 2 (15 characters) – for A/P payment proposals, this is the number of payment orders. Y Year (four digits) y Year (two digits) M Month D Day h Hour m Minutes s Seconds q Mille seconds T Timestamp (YYYY-MM-DD-hh.mm.ss.mmmmmm) Examples:
- File/Y/M/D.txt = File20121101.txt
- File/T.txt = File2012-11-01-10.05.25.123456.txt
- File/Y/M*.txt = Retrieve all files with the generic name = File201211*.txt independent of the characters (represented by *) between the month number and the extension .txt.
- Company prefix
- Indicate if the IFS file name should start with a company code and underscore as the prefix name. For example, DV_paym.
- Backup
- Indicate if a copy of the document/file should be created on the IFS. The Backup subfolder is added to the entered folder name. For example, MyFolder/Backup.
- Receive
- Indicate if the IFS communicator type should be allowed for receiving transactions from the IFS.
- Send
- Indicate if the IFS communicator should be allowed for sending transactions to the IFS.
- Check transfer file
- Indicate if the system should check that transactions exist in the transfer file before the retrieval/sending process is started from the routine Transfer transactions from/to IFS. The transfer file name is defined in Transfer file.
- Upd interface files
- Indicate if the Transfer program should update the DC1 interface files. The DC1 interface files are, e.g. the Open batch interface files and the Financial interface files used in the Retrieve financial transactions routine.
Work with IFS communicator types, Copy (GDMD71605)
- IFS communicator
- Displays the IFS communicator type(s) you selected to copy.
- New IFS communicator
- Enter a name to identify the new IFS communicator type that you are defining.
Work with IFS communicator types, Deletion (GDMD71608)

Note: You are only allowed to add or maintain information on this panel if you have system administrator authority.
On this panel you enter the programs that should be executed when this IFS communicator type is maintained and used.

- Enter the transfer file that should be used when this IFS communicator is used to transfer data from/to the IFS.
Work with IFS communicator types, Open batch details (GDMD71612)
The values entered in the fields below can be used by the Transfer program defined for the IFS communicator type.
- Batch import option
- Mandatory entry. Enter an option from Work with batch import options to be used when importing transactions from the Open batch interface files.
- Upd interface files
- Indicate if the Transfer program should update the DC1 interface files. The DC1 interface files are, e.g. the Open batch interface files and the Financial interface files used in the Retrieve financial transactions routine.
- Import from interf
- Indicate if transactions loaded into the Open batch interface files should be transferred to DC1 Financials when this IFS communicator type is used by the Transfer program for the transfer of transactions from the IFS.
- Settlement option
- Enter an option from Work with settlement options. This value can be used by the Transfer program while loading the Open batch interface files.
