This panel displays the matrix combinations for the matrix base item and the available quantity for the item that matches the matrix combination in the warehouse. (You can click the prompt icon (green arrow) in every matrix cell to access the Time axis enquiry for the item in the matrix cell.)
If the DC1 Multi Distribution Centre (MDC) application is activated and the matrix base item has been set up for MDC (even though it will never appear on any MDC orders), the MDC availability function key will be available which you can click to view the available quantity for the main MDC supplier for each item. The sub-title of the panel differs as follows depending on what mode you are in:
- Item matrix, Warehouse availability
- Item matrix, MDC availability
Enter the applicable quantities for the matrix items required and click OK to register the sales order lines. One sales order line will be created for each combination against which a quantity was entered and you will return to the Order lines panel.
Function keys
Update and re-price | If you are maintaining an existing sales order matrix, you may already have a number of SO lines. If you change the quantity for 1 matrix cell (i.e. for 1 SO line) and click OK, only this specific line is updated. However, the quantity change can affect the matrix limit pricing, i.e. another limit can be reached (based on the whole matrix quantity). But clicking OK will only give the single updated line the correct new price. If you instead click this function key, all existing SO lines that belong to the matrix will be re-priced. |
Order heading/Item heading | Toggle between viewing the order information in the top section of the panel and the item information. You can decide which information you want to be displayed by default, each time you access this panel, by setting the applicable View control for Order matrix view. See the description for the View control function key. |
MDC availability/Whs availability | This function key is only displayed if the DC1 Multi Distribution Centre (MDC) application is activated and the matrix base item has been set up for MDC (i.e. the matrix base item’s main supplier is an MDC supplier). Toggle between viewing the MDC availability for the main MDC supplier for each item in the matrix and the available quantity for the current warehouse. |
View control | Access the View controls window. From this window you can, e.g., decide which heading view will be the default when you first access this panel (i.e. view order information in the top section of the panel (enter 1 in the Order matrix view field), or item information (enter 2 in the Order matrix view field)). |
