On this panel you attach/detach the applicable characteristics to/from the selected group/main group. The first time you access this panel for a group/main group, all characteristics defined in the Work with characteristics file are listed. Attach/detach those applicable. The Attached column will be set to YES or NO for those selected.
Note: You always have the possibility to attach/detach more at a later time but note that the next time you return to this panel to attach more, the Attached selection field on the bottom of this panel will be set to YES and the Attached column will only list those characteristics that are currently attached to the group/main group. To see the list of all characteristics from which to choose, set the selection field to NO and click OK.
When you eventually connect a profile 1 code to a group/main group, the characteristics listed will be those that have been attached to the group/main group in this file.

Selection fields
- Group
- The name of this field depends on what has been set up in the DIS control keys file for the Item related key that was chosen to represent the Group entity of the grouping structure (defined in the DIS control file). Displays the selected Item classification group.
- Main group
- The name of this field depends on what has been set up in the DIS control keys file for the Item related key that was chosen to represent the Main group entity of the grouping structure (defined in the DIS control file). Displays the main group to which the selected Item classification group belongs.
- Characteristics
- The first time you access this panel for a group/main group, all characteristics defined in the Work with characteristics file are listed in this column. Click the Attach/Detach option to attach or detach the applicable characteristics to/from the selected group/main group. After refreshing, the Attached column will be set to YES or NO for those selected.
- Description
- This column lists the description of the characteristic.
- Attached
- This column is set to YES or NO indicating if the characteristic has been attached to the Group/Main group. Note: You always have the possibility to attach/detach more at a later time but note that the next time you return to this panel to attach more, the Attached selection field on the bottom of this panel will be set to YES, and this column will only list those characteristics that are currently attached to the group/main group. To see the list of all characteristics (from the Work with characteristics file) from which to choose, set the selection field to NO and click OK.
