The entries in this panel are used when commissions are created in the Sales order entry routine. Commissions can be created either automatically or manually when a sales order line is entered.
Once commission records are created in the Commission file, the Print commissions menu item can be used to produce a printout which, in turn, can be used as a basis for paying the commission to the sales persons.
The different types of sales persons for which commissions can be created are:
- the salesman only
and/or - the manager of the salesman
and/or - the manager of the area to which the customer belongs
The connection between a sales order and the sales persons stated above is:
Salesman:
One salesman is always defined on the sales order header. Additional salesmen can also exist in the Customer/salesman table.
Manager of a salesman:
The manager of a salesman is defined in the Signature table.
Area manager:
The manager of an area is defined in the Area table.
In this panel, you define the sales persons that should acquire commissions and how the commission should be calculated. The commission calculation is based on a percentage and one of four base amounts, i.e. sales value for ordered quantity, sales value for dispatched quantity, invoiced amount and paid amount (manually defined amount).
Note: The sales persons you define in this panel, have to be defined as salesmen. This means that the Salesman field in the Signature table has to be set to YES.
