On this panel you select which documents to settle with the main document. The documents can be marked off directly, or transferred to the bottom part of the panel for maintenance. The system defaults the main document as being settled, but if you cancel the settlement, it will be redefined as an open document.
If a settlement should cover both credit notes and invoices, you should mark off the credit notes first. If you start with the invoice, it will only become partly settled, until the settlement balance is zero.
This panel allows you to switch between single and multi-currency mode.
Options
Settle | Select this option to mark a document for automatic settlement. |
Change | Select this option to change the settlement information. The information for the document will be transferred to the Change document settlement sub-panel where you can maintain the applicable information. |
Function keys
Currency | Only available if you are in multi-currency mode. Toggle between transaction and system currency. |
Item differences | Only shown if you select a record with the Change option. The document will be transferred to the bottom part of the panel. Use this function key to create a settlement difference on item level, i.e. connect it to that particular document. |
- Supplier
- Displays the number and name of the supplier of the main document.
- Paid amount tra
- Enter the payment amount in transaction currency to settle the document, or erase the amount to undo the settlement.
- Curr
- Displays the transaction currency of the document.
- Cash discount
- Enter the cash discount amount if applicable, or erase the amount to remove a given cash discount. The amount can be different from the amount calculated from the cash discount conditions for the payment terms. Instead of entering an amount manually, you can mark any of the default cash discounts.
Cash discounts are not allowed when the document is defined as “VAT recalculation” and there are no VAT-related transactions.

- You can mark any of these fields to give a cash discount according to the default payment terms.
- Cash discounts
- Displays the cash discount dates and amounts that have been calculated from the terms of payment of the document.
- Paid amount sys
- Only shown if you are in multi-currency mode. Enter the payment amount in system currency to settle the document or use the exchange rate for the transaction. If you want to undo the settlement then you must erase the amount from this field.
- Rem amount tra
- Displays the remaining amount of the document in transaction currency.
- Rem amount Sys
- Only shown if you are in multi-currency mode. The remaining amount of the document in system currency. Note: The Cash discount field is closed for entry if you change the system amount manually, i.e., when you click Item differences and enter the amount in System amount on the A/P open item differences panel.
A/P open items differences (FSR08507)
On this panel you create settlement differences connected to the selected document, e.g. a discount. The listing presented by the system consists of all the difference documents of data type 3 and redefinition documents of data type 5 with redefinition type 1, that have the settlement type 1 or 3 entered in Work with document types.
- Supplier
- Displays the number and name of the supplier for the selected document.
- Currency
- Displays the code and description of the transaction currency.
- Document
- Displays the document type and number of the selected document for which a difference is to be defined.
- Rem amount
- Displays the remaining amount of the selected document.
- Diff bal
- Displays the difference between the remaining amount and the amount that has been settled through the settlement difference.
- Dt
- Displays the document types that can be used to create settlement differences. The system selects all the difference documents of data type 3 and redefinition documents of data type 5 with the redefinition type 1. The documents must have settlement document type 1 or 3.
- Text
- Displays the document type texts, but can be changed.
A/P settlement differences (FSR08509)
On this panel you create settlement differences connected to the settlement, e.g. a block discount. The listing presented by the system consists of all the difference documents of data type 3 and redefinition documents of data type 5 with the redefinition type 1, that have the settlement type 2 or 3 entered in Work with document types.
- Supplier
- Displays the number and name of the supplier for the settlement.
- Main amount
- Displays the payment amount to be used for settlement, in transaction currency. For multi-currency mode the payment amount will be shown in system currency.
- Currency
- Displays the code and description of the currency in which the amounts are displayed in the panel header. It is also the currency of all listed documents that can be settled by the main document if you are in single-currency mode. If you are in multi-currency mode this is the system currency code.
- Settl bal
- Displays the remaining amount to settle, in transaction currency. For multi-currency mode the remaining amount to settle will be shown in system currency.
- Exch rt per
- Displays the exchange rate information (period code, exchange rate level, currency period and exchange rate) for the main document. In single-currency mode this exchange rate will be used to calculate the amount(s) for the settlement differences.
In multi-currency mode the exchange rate (for period code, exchange rate level and currency period) will be taken from the Exchange rate table, unless both the transaction and system amounts are entered.

- Displays the document types that can be used to create settlement differences. The system selects all the difference documents of data type 3 and redefinition documents of data type 5 with the redefinition type 1. The documents have to have settlement document type 2 or 3.

A/P open items selection (FSR08510)
This panel is used for both single currency and multi-currency open item selections. If you are in multi-currency mode, you will receive an additional field allowing you to select or sequence documents by transaction currency. On this panel you make a selection of open item documents to display on the previous panel.
