Asset template maintenance (AACD1503)
On this panel you add new and maintain the templates used in the Asset file maintenance, enquiry and printout routines. You decide which panels should be included in each template, and in which sequence they should appear. You can also state if defaults should be used, i.e., panels that already are completed with values in some fields, and that may also have fields that are protected. By using defaults when you maintain the Asset file you do not have to enter information that is the same for a large group of assets. You can also protect predefined information that should not be changed when adding new assets or maintaining information.

Sequence
In this column, you enter a sequential number for each panel (listed in the Program column) that you want to include in the template, thereby defining in which order they are to appear when you use the template. You must not skip any numbers, and you must start with number 1. For any template that is to be used when you add a new asset, the Work with assets, Basic information panel must be included, and this panel must have sequence number 1.
Default
In this column, you can enter a default for the panels (listed in the Program column) that you include in the template. The default has predefined values for different data that you must otherwise complete yourself when adding assets in the Asset file. By clicking Maintain defaults you can maintain established defaults or add new ones for each panel. The defaults you define will override any defaults from the table values used.
