This panel displays the existing calendars in the system. A calendar is originally created in the Calendar ID table. In this routine you can maintain the existing calendars. You can change days from/to a working day/non-working day. If DC1 Manufacturing is installed, you can change the capacity for each day. If DC1 Service is installed, you can also decide whether a specific day is a public holiday or not.
You can re-create the whole calendar according to the current default values defined in the Calendar ID table. If you only want to re-create the calendar from a specific date, you can enter the starting year/month.
Calendars that are not referred to can be deleted. Note: The default calendar *DFT cannot be deleted, since this calendar is always referred to in Work with companies. A calendar can be referred to in the following routines:
- Work with companies (always calendar *DFT)
- A/P system payment mode table in DC1 Financials.
- DC1 Manufacturing control file
- Work center table in DC1 Manufacturing
If you change a non-working day to a working day, or vice versa, as well as if you delete a calendar, the Status field displays the type of change that has been made. When you exit this routine, the system will start a job to update the calendar according to the change.
Status | Description |
---|---|
Create | The calendar is currently being created. Note: A calendar has this status for a very short period of time, why you normally will not see the status. |
Copy | The calendar is currently being created by copying another calendar. Note: A calendar has this status for a very short period of time, why you normally will not see the status. |
Re-sequence | A day has been changed from/to a working day/non-working day. All workdays will be re-sequenced. The relative day numbers in the Order files and the Manual orders and reservation file will be updated and the Time axis file will be rebuilt. |
Delete | The calendar has been marked for deletion. |
Change | If you select to update the calendar from defaults (F8 on the Months panel), you will return to the menu and a job will be started, updating the calendar. This job will besides re-creating the calendar, update the relative day numbers in the Order files and in the Manual orders and reservation file, as well as rebuild the Time axis file. |
