This panel displays the details of the reason that have resulted in an order/quotation being held. From this panel, you can add new details, or select an existing one to view, maintain and delete as well as release orders/quotations.
There are three different titles available for this panel. The title that is displayed depends on where you accessed the panel from.
Note: It is not possible to add hold details under a reason that has been released. In this case, you can only view the details.
Options
Release | Select this option to release the order/quotation. Note: This option will not be displayed if the reason code indicates NO for manual release. |

Held restrictions/All restrictions | Toggle to view all restriction details and only those restrictions details that have orders/quotations on hold. |
Selection fields
- Customer
- Displays your customer’s name and number.
- Order value/Quote value
- Displays the total value of the order lines/quotation lines, after deduction of order header discount/quotation header discount, and including VAT (if applicable). Free-of-charge order lines/quotation lines are not included.
Note: This field cannot display amounts greater than 9999999999,999. If the amount exceeds this value, this field will display the last 10 digits of the amount.
- Order type
- Displays the order type.
- Cr stop code
- Displays a code, from Work with credit stop codes, if:
- Your customer has exceeded their credit limit, as defined for the assigned credit profile, or
- Your customer is set up with a credit stop code. In this case, when a credit check is performed in the sales order entry/sales quotation entry routine and when a pick list is printed, the Credit stop code handling applies.
- Order number/Quote number
- Displays the order number/quotation number and any version.
- Handler
- Identifies the employee responsible for the order/quotation.
- Balance
- Indicates your customer’s total sales order balance (in system currency).
Note: If the debtor is not your customer, then the value displayed in this field represents the debtor’s total balance and not the customer’s.

= Total balanceThis field is highlighted if the credit limit is exceeded. An authorised employee must then take necessary actions to release it for further processing.
Note: This field cannot display amounts greater than 9999999999,999. If the amount exceeds this value, then only the last 10 digits will be displayed.
Note: Only the displayed value will be truncated. The full amount will be correctly updated to the database.
- Reason code
- Displays the reason codes and descriptions from the Order held reason code table.
- Hold date
- Displays the date on which this order/quotation was put on hold.
- Line
- This column heading lists all the order/quotation line number of the order.
- Restriction
- Lists the name of the restriction that has resulted in this order/quotation line being held.
- Description
- Displays the description of the restriction that has resulted in this order/quotation line being held.
- Rel handler
- Displays the handler that has the authority to release this order/quotation.
- Rel date
- Displays, per record, the date on which the held order/quotation line was released.
Work with held sales orders or Service orders or Sales quotations, Held details (DIR32904)
This panel displays detailed information regarding the reasons for an order/quotation line having been held. From here you are able to add, and edit these details.
- Customer
- Displays your customer’s name and number.
- Order value/Quote value
- Displays the total value of the order lines/quotation lines, after deduction of order header discount/quotation header discount, and including VAT (if applicable). Free-of-charge order lines/quotation lines are not included.
Note: This field cannot display amounts greater than 9999999999,999. If the amount exceeds this value, this field will display the last 10 digits of the amount.
- Order type
- Displays the order type.

- Restriction
- Displays the name and description of the restriction that has resulted in the order/quotation line being held. This is a mandatory field when adding records, but cannot be changed for existing records. Note: An order/quotation line may have more than one restriction that applies to it, resulting in it being held.
- Release handler
- Displays the handler that has the authority to release this restriction. This is a mandatory field when adding records, but can be changed for existing records.
- Release date
- If the restriction has been released, the date on which this occurred is displayed.
- Release time
- If the restriction has been released, the time at which this occurred is displayed.
- Released by
- If the restriction has been released, the handler who performed this is displayed.
Work with held sales orders or Service orders or Sales quotations, Release restrictions (DIR32905)
This panel displays all the restrictions that you have selected to release. This is only possible if you have the authority to do so. Click OK to release the displayed records. Click Back to regret.
- Customer
