This panel prompts if the Activate override batch jobs functionality is activated, allowing you to change/override values for batch jobs being submitted to job queues at execution/order time.
The values are loaded with values first from entered values in the start program, secondly based on the setup in “Job Control” (if any setup exists), else with defaults like *CURRENT or *JOBD. The exception is the Job name, where any existing Job name value in Batch program table will be used before *JOBD).
Function keys
Cancel job | Cancel without submitting the job. |
Run without override | Run the batch job without override values. |
- Job name
- Enter the name for the job. Valid values include a valid job name or *JOBD.
- Job queue
- Enter the job queue for the job. Valid values include an existing job queue, *JOBD or blank.
- Job priority
- Enter the job priority. Valid values include 1 to 9, *JOBD or blank.
- Schedule
- If you want to schedule the job for a special time period, day or date tick the applicable value. Note: The Entered date works together with the date entered in the Scheduled date field.
- Scheduled date
- Enter the scheduled date.
- Scheduled time
- Enter the scheduled time.
- Keep override
- Set this flag to YES if you want to keep the “Activation”, that you enabled via the “Activate override batch jobs” enquiry program, active. This means you do not need to activate the functionality again should you have several batch jobs that you want to schedule.
