Run the average stock level calculation

The average stock level is calculated for each item/warehouse combination in the system, and the result is stored in the Item file. The calculation is based on today’s physical stock and all inventory transactions dating back to the last average stock calculation. You can execute this job as often as you want. It is recommended that you execute it once every forecast period. The date of the last average stock calculation is displayed in the IC control file.

Note: The inventory transactions in DC1 Distribution should not be summarised and deleted until you have executed this job for the corresponding time period.

  1. Select the Start average stock level calculation menu item.
  2. You access Average stock level calculation start showing the period for which the average stock level was last calculated, and the present period. Click OK to run the calculation in batch, or press F2 to run the calculation interactively. The average stock level is calculated. Exit the routine.
