PRTF override table maintenance (ASGD0553)

The entries in this table are printer files, either manually entered or retrieved by clicking the Rtv prn files info (Submit) function key. You add printer files in the table because they hold other values regarding page size, lines per inch, form type etc, than default values for printer files in DC1 standard. Each time you order a printout in DC1, this table will be read. If an entry for the printout exists in the table, the values in the entry will override the default values. If the table is empty, all default values for all printer files in DC1 standard will be used.

Besides the possibility to change page size, lines per inch, etc, you can use this function to make it easier for the DC1 user to find spool files produced by DC1 programs. The user might have problems to find the spool file because it has the same name as the printer file, for example DMR312P (order confirmation in DC1 Distribution). If you want to change spool file names, change the value for the keyword USRDTA to something more relevant than the printer file name.

Outq
Mandatory entry.Enter the desired outqueue to which you want to route your list or *ALL.
File
Enter a specific printer file, *ALL, *LANDSCAPE, *LETTER, or *PORTRAIT. Note: The definition of LANDSCAPE is all printer files that are compiled to PAGESIZE(51) (51 lines per page). The definition of LETTER is all printer files that are compiled to PAGESIZE(66) (66 lines per page). The definition of PORTRAIT is all printer files that are compiled to PAGESIZE(70) or PAGESIZE (72) (70 or 72 lines per page).

To override a landscape printout, you enter *LANDSCAPE in this field. Then in the Command parameter section you enter the override values. The override will take effect if the existing printer file has the length of 51.

To override a letter printout, you enter *LETTER in this field. Then in the Command parameter section you enter the override values. The override will take effect if the existing printer file has the length of 66.

To override a portrait printout, you enter *PORTRAIT in this field. Then in the Command parameter section you enter the override values. The override will take effect if the existing printer file has the length of 70 or 72.
