This panel lists the assets that have already been depreciated before being entered into the Asset file. They are automatically put into this file where you can update accumulated depreciations if you complete the Last depreciation period field for an asset that you enter into the Asset file.

Selection fields
Accumulated depreciation maintenance (AACD1753)
On this panel you update the opening balance for the depreciations this year as well as the accumulated depreciation amount up to last depreciation period for the selected asset. Once the first depreciation has been run for the asset, it will automatically be removed from the file.

- Depreciation type
- Displays the depreciation type for which accumulated depreciations should be maintained.
- Asset number
- Displays the asset number of the selected asset.
- Short description
- Displays the short description of the selected asset.
- Depreciation rule
- Displays the depreciation rule defined for the depreciation type of the selected asset.
- Acquisition period
- Displays the acquisition period of the selected asset.
- Last depr period
- Displays the latest depreciation period of the selected asset.
- First depr period
- Displays the first depreciation period of the selected asset.
- Final depr period
- Displays the final depreciation period of the selected asset.
- Acquisition value
- Displays the acquisition value of the selected asset.
- Depr opening balance
- Enter the opening balance this year of the accumulated depreciation amount for this depreciation type and asset.
- Non depreciable am
- Displays the amount which is not depreciable for the selected asset.
- Depreciation YTD
- Enter the amount that has been depreciated this year.
- Residual value
- Displays the residual value of the asset, i.e. acquisition amount less the sum of the depreciation opening balance and the depreciation YTD, if Residual value is set to YES for the depreciation type.
- Account
- Displays the account that, according to the accounting rules, should be used for posting the depreciation transactions. Make sure that this is the case to avoid unnecessary account movements.
