The title differs depending on from where you accessed the panel; either from
- the Sales tasks menu, or
- the Service order tasks menu (DC1 Service must be installed and activated).
Note: If you are in Work with orders in error mode, the main title of the panel will read Work with orders in error, Order line, main info and any erroneous information will be highlighted after you click OK. In addition, not all functions via the fnc list will be available.
On this panel you enter detailed information for the order line.
DI information
When DI is activated a tracking file is used to carry the original values for Item code, Quantity, Unit, Sales price and Dispatch time. (Note: DI tracking is controlled by order type.) Tracking is also performed for changes to these fields in manually entered orders (i.e. entered via mail, fax or phone and confirmed by DI). All order confirmation formats (paper, fax, e-mail and EDI) indicate any changes to these fields.
Note: When DI order confirmations are printed the print program compares the original values with the actual values and indicates any changes on the order confirmation printout. When a sales order line is deleted all information relating to this line is removed from the tracking file.
Batch-controlled items
The Batch entry panel will be displayed for batch-controlled items by clicking Batch, if any of the following applies:
- New line – the order type is without pick list.
- Changed line – quantity is changed, the order line status is 40 or 45 and if a pick list has not been printed for the order.
The Batch entry panel is not displayed if any of the following applies:
- the order is a credit order with pick list
- BtB order
- Internal order
- MDC order
- sales order type has Update stock on hand = NO.
If deleting a cash sale order and/or a single cash sale line, the Batch file and Inventory transaction creation routine will only be updated for a batch-controlled item if order type has the Update stock on hand field set to YES in the Sales order type table.
Profit check
If limits are defined per item group in the Profit/margin limits table, a profit check is done to calculate the line profit, when the order line entered. If the profit for the order line is not within acceptable limits, a warning is displayed. If the profit is too low or too high, it signals the handler of the order to look at the prices and discounts. This warning, however, can be overridden by clicking OK.
A profit check will not be performed on line level if:
- the line is free of charge (FOC)
- the line belongs to a structure
- quantity is negative
- a credit order
If limits are defined per order type in the Profit/margin limits table, a profit check on order level is performed, based on the order type, when the order is complete and Back is clicked. If the profit for the order is not within acceptable limits, a warning is displayed. Price/discount information on line level can be changed, if necessary. Alternatively, the Sales order profit enquiry can be accessed to the view the profit situation for the order.
This warning can also be overridden by clicking Back again to accept the profit and complete the order.
Note: No profit check is performed on order level if a credit order.
Pricing and discount information
Split lines will not automatically be re-priced when quantity is changed. If a manual re-price is started for a split line, a warning message will be displayed, informing the user that the quantity on the split line will be used in re-pricing and may cause another price than from the original price calculations.
Availability check information
Note: If DC1 Manufacturing is installed and activated, order lines holding items of class 2 and 3 will be handled as transit orders. When entering an order line holding an item of class 2 and an item type of 1 or 2, the transit code will be set to YES and an availability check will be done for transit orders. When the order line is of BtB type, or when an order line holding an item (or items) of class 2 is created, an availability control against normal stock will be performed. If there is enough normal stock to cover the order quantity a warning message will be displayed. You may, however, ignore this message and continue with the order line.
When a sales order line is entered against an item/warehouse that allows transit, the “net on hand quantity in transit” will be controlled. If there is a surplus in the transit quantity that covers the order quantity, a message to this effect will be displayed. Take note, however, that this is not valid for fictitious items.
For a produced item, availability check is done according to the item’s bill of routing and/or sales and operation plan if this is specified for the item in the Item file. If the item is not available and the item’s bill of material and/or bill of routing have been used for the availability check, you will be able to select the MTRCAP (Material/capacity clearance enquiry) program function to analyse the shortage.

- The order is not a credit order, internal or BtB order.
When the requested quantity, according to the rules, is covered by NCC quantity the NCC number will be retrieved when adding an order line and displayed in this field, with a message displayed. This denotes that the order quantity is covered by NCC stock and that a reservation of the order quantity is made on the NCC. A value can also be entered manually, changed and blanked out in order to remove the NCC stock reservation. Note: A re-price will be done if the following is true:
- NCC number is entered/changed (except when a price/discount has been manually entered, Main info Price code = 180)
- NCC number is removed and the price was retrieved from that NCC number (Price code = 100 or 101).
See About NCC selling for more information.

- Price unit
- Only displayed if the PRCUNIT (Price unit handling) function is activated in the Function control file and is an optional entry here. See About price unit handling for more information. If you choose to let the system automatically retrieve a price and a Default sales price unit is defined for the item this field is normally left blank and the value is retrieved together with the price. You can, however, enter a price unit manually. Note: If you enter a price manually and your company uses Price unit handling, but no price unit is defined in this field, the default sales price unit will be retrieved and displayed as a default. The sales unit is the unit used for retrieval of the sales price. See Example: Pricing unit for sales order/quotation line.

- the item on the order line is not a fictitious item.
- the item on the order line is not a serial number controlled item.
- The order line is less than status 30.
- The order is not an Internal replenishment order.
If the Item’s sales unit is defined for Catch weight handling, this flag will be defaulted with a YES setting but can be changed to NO. Likewise, if the Item’s sales unit is not defined for Catch weight handling, this flag will be defaulted with a NO setting but can be changed to YES. Note: If the item on the order line is a structure parent a check is performed against the sales price calculation code for the structure type for both the current (parent) item and for items included in a structure. If the sales unit is defined for catch weight and the structure type for the item has sales price calculation code 1 (Parent sales price is used. Components prices are set to zero) or 3 (Components sales prices are summarized and added to parent’s sales price and then set to zero) this flag will be set to NO and cannot be changed since catch weight handling is not supported when components sales price is set to zero.

- Man priced
- Output only. This field is populated during the very first entry of the line and is set to YES if the user manually enters a price and/or discount and/or the FOC field is set YES. In all other cases it will be set to NO. If the price and/or discount is added or changed later on for the line it will not affect this flag.
This field works in conjunction with the handling of additional discounts. If the Additional discount field in DIS control file is set to NO and you manually enter a price or discount at creation then no other discounts, except H type will be automatically applied during the pricing and re-pricing of this line. See The types of discounts automatically applied to the line for more information.

It controls if the line contributes to the summary of quantities and amounts in the basket qualification and the order summary discount calculation. At the same time it controls if the line benefits from any order line summary discounts (O-type) and header discounts (H-type). All lines that do not contribute to the order summary will NEVER benefit from it, in other words no order line summary discounts will be applied and no header discount will be apportioned over these lines.
- Exp reb amt
- Only displayed if the DC1 Customer/Supplier Rebates (RBT) application is installed and activated. This field displays the expected rebate amount for the sales order line according to system currency. The expected rebate amount is considered in gross margin calculation. The gross margin is calculated as:
Net line value – Cost value / Net line value (where net line value = Net line amount Expected rebate amount, and Cost value is equal to Line cost value + SMS rebate amount).
- Ord sum disc
- This field is only displayed if the Order summary disc field in the DIS control file is set to YES. The field is updated to the order/quotation line from the sales price and discount calculation program and is set to YES as long as originating price source and none of the applied discounts are set up with Order summary discounts set to NO. The field only controls if the line benefits from any order line summary discounts (O-type) and header discounts (H-type). If a line does not contribute to the order summary then it does not benefit from it, regardless of how this field is set.
