The entries in this table are used in the Report Writer and DC1 Analyser functions. When creating summary reports, the break key codes and text are used to divide the information on the printout, according to the break key code. For each division, the system prints/displays a heading and/or an accumulation for each value defined in the selection. For each selection key defined in this table and the corresponding selection defined for the summary report, a break key code can be specified.
You want to define break key codes and texts for the item in this table. On the summary report printout you want to see the quantity for item starting with the letter A to F in the first position, that were sold within a certain period. For each of these item you wish to have the information divided and displayed on the printout according to each unique first letter of the item.
In this table you would establish a break key code and text for each item starting with the letter A to F. Break key: A Text: Total for A——- (i.e. total for the item which starts with the letter A in the first position of the code).
(You could set up the same definition for the remaining letters of B to F)
When the summary report is printed/displayed, the information will be divided according to the break levels. For each item starting with the letter A to F in the first position, the break key code and text will be displayed as the heading, followed by the respective item, and values. The last line for each divided break level, will be the total value of that item for the break level.
