Code Description 1 Do not suspend 2 Suspend location (the suggested location will be suspended) 3 Suspend item (all locations where the suggested item exists will be suspended) Note: When a location is suspended, no more transactions, e.g. pick suggestions, can be created for this location and the location cannot be selected for stock take. At a later stage, you can select only the suspended locations using the Work with stock takes routine in order to correct the error.
- Reception/put away
- This column denotes if additional put away labels should be printed together with the put away suggestion (reception note).
- Put away from bulk
- This column denotes if additional put away labels should be printed together with the put away from bulk suggestion (reception note).
- Replenishment
- This column denotes if additional put away labels should be printed together with the replenishment suggestion.
- Printer queue
- This column displays the printer queue on which the zone put away should be printed if zone put away is used.
- Number of copies
- This column displays the preferred number of copies for put away suggestions if zone put away is implemented.
- Hold on spool file
- This column denotes if the zone put away should be held on the printer outqueue before printing.
- Printer queue pick suggestions
- This column displays the printer queue that has been defined to print the report if zone picking is implemented.
- Number of copies – pick suggestion
- This column displays the preferred number of copies for pick suggestions if zone picking is implemented.
- Hold before print – pick suggestion
- This column denotes if the zone pick list should be held on the printer outqueue before printing.
- Serialized PA label
- If R/F handling is activated for the warehouse, and additional put away labels are defined to be printed, then this column indicates if they should be serialized.
- Package handling
- This column is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file. It displays the panel value code denoting how the containers in this zone are to be packed for zone picking.
Code Description A Packaging across zones L Packaging by lines P Packaging by zone
- Pick separation group
- This column is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file. Displays the pick separation group code that denotes the picking area for the warehouse zone. No container will cross pick separation group borders which implies that a given container will only contain items from one separation group.
- Pick quality control type
- This column is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file. Displays the pick quality control type for the warehouse zone. This denotes that the assigned container must be checked before it is confirmed, i.e. that the correct quantity has been put in the container.

Function keys
- Warehouse
- Zone
- Enter the name of the zone.
- Description
- Max pick volume %
- Enter a value in percent representing the maximum pick quantity for all locations within this warehouse zone. Large quantities should always be picked from the overstock locations, not from pick locations in order to minimise unnecessary location replenishment. Note: This percentage is calculated against the total capacity for the suggested item and location size. It is used during pick suggestion creation for all item assigned locations for this warehouse zone.
- Suspend pick error
- Enter a code from the Panel value control file indicating the action that should be taken when a pick error is found during pick confirmation in a location within this warehouse zone. A pick error could be, e.g., when there is not enough physical stock in order to pick the complete suggested item quantity. You are, however, able to override the definition made here during the Pick list confirmation process.
- Package handling
- This field is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file. Enter the panel value code denoting how the containers in this zone are to be packed. (See the Set up for zone picking section in Setting up the container handling functionality for more information.)
Code Description A Packaging across zones L Packaging by lines P Packaging by zone
- Pick separation grp
- This field is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file. If you want to optimize the path within the warehouse zone, thereby restricting the number of zones that need to be crossed, enter the pick separation group code that denotes the picking area for the warehouse zone. No container will cross pick separation group borders which implies that a given container will only contain items from one separation group. (See the Set up for zone picking section in Setting up the container handling functionality for more information.)
- Pick qual ctrl type
- This field is only displayed if the CONTAINR (Container handling) function is activated in the Function control file.
A pick quality control (PQC) allows you to flag that the assigned container be checked before it is confirmed, i.e. that the correct quantity has been put in the container. The PQC type can be set on one or all of the following levels. If one of the levels holds a PQC type the container will be flagged for PQC.- Zone – this applies if you have automated picking in your warehouse, (e.g., conveyor belt or some type of A-frame pick).
- Customer – this applies if the customer always wants to make sure the quantities are controlled.
- Item/Warehouse – this applies if, e.g., you have expensive or dangerous items.
If you want the pick quality control to apply on warehouse zone level, enter the pick quality control type for the warehouse zone. (See the Set up pick quality/quantity control (PQC) section in Setting up the container handling functionality for more information.)
Labels
In the fields below you indicate if you allow additional labels to be printed for this warehouse zone. These labels will be used as address labels, and also as information on what to pick and put away and from/to which location. Tip: If you for any reason only want to re-print put away labels, then access the Put away label selection panel. The applicable label must be set to YES below.
- Reception/put away
- Indicate if additional put away labels should be printed together with the put away suggestion (reception note).
- Put away from bulk
- Indicate if additional put away labels should be printed together with the put away from bulk suggestion (reception note).
- Serialized PA label
- Only displayed if R/F handling is active for the selected warehouse. If you have chosen to print additional put away labels (Put away from bulk on this panel is YES), then indicate in this field if these should be serialized. For R/F put away, serialized put away label numbers can be scanned to identify the put away instruction.
- Replenishment
- Indicate if additional put away labels should be printed together with the replenishment suggestion.
