The following describes how to create and print a stock take list for the stock count. During the time that an item is on a stock take list, no pick lists or reception notes can be printed where that item is included.
Note: For batch-controlled items, one particular batch can be under stock take. This means that you are allowed to receive goods only into batches that are not under stock take.
If DC1 Warehouse Management is installed and activated, you can process both Warehousing items and non-Warehousing items. This option is dependent on the selection criteria you choose. If the selection is to cover both Warehousing items and non-Warehousing items, two lists will be printed with different stock take list numbers.
The stock take process provides three ways to print a stock take list: These include:
- print a new stock take list
- recount instructions for an existing stock take list
- add new count instructions to an existing list
The following describes how to create and print a new stock take list. Do as follows:
- Select the Work with stock takes menu item.
- On the initial panel, click Create list.
- You access Stock take list selection. Complete the following fields:
- Warehouse
- Mandatory entry. Enter the warehouse for which the stock take list should be created.
- Std item count
- Indicate if you want to perform a standard item count.
- Std location count
- Indicate if you want to count selected locations.
- You access Stock take list sequence, where you define the sequence of how you want the information sorted on the printout and the page break for the printing of the stock take list. The following fields can be used to sequence information:
- Item
- Stock zone
- If you enter 1, the information will be sorted in Stock zone area first.
- Bin location 1
- If you enter 2, the system will sort the selected records for each Stock zone by Bin location 1.
- Bin location 2
- Zone
- Location
- Put away sequence
- Pick sequence
- No of item lines
- Enter the number of lines that you want to have printed on each page. If you enter 10, the system will print 10 count instructions on each page. If you leave this field blank, the lines will be printed on a full page.
- You access Standard stock take selection, where you select the information to be included on the printout. This panel is displayed whenever a new list is generated or more instructions are appended to an existing list.
- Last stock take date <
- Enter a date to denote that locations and/or items counted before this date should be selected or leave blank to select all.
- Print empty locations
- Indicate if empty location lines should be printed. If you set this field to NO, then the empty location lines are selected for stock take and can be counted, but they will not be printed on the stock take list.
- Print serial numbers
- Indicate if serial numbers should be printed on the stock take list for serial number controlled items.
- You access the last panel where you define the printout parameters. Click OK. You will receive a printout of all locations and/or items that are valid to be counted in the entered warehouse. After counting you are ready to report the counted quantities into the system.
