Define object events (EDSD16001)

Related topics

Depending on from where this program is accessed, (applicable) events can be selected for tracking. Note: The events possible for selection depend on the documents defined for the order type that is used on the order and whether or not the event has previously been selected and actually performed. If the event has previously been selected and performed, then it will not be available for selection. See Tracked events for a list of those that can be tracked.

DC1 allows you to track different events that are performed for a sales order, purchase order and/or manufacturing order. This gives you the possibility to see when and how often a particular event occurs in the system. If the appropriate information is configured in the system, then the system will automatically send an alert message to any applicable user each time the event is performed. (See Configure the system to send/receive alert messages for more information.)

The tracking can be triggered manually here or automatically triggered when an order has been entered for the applicable order type and/or business partner defined in the scope (assuming you have defined an applicable scope in Work with object event tracking scopes).

Once triggered, a record is created in the Work with object event tracking file. The Occur column in that file will indicate that the event actually has been performed, and you will be able to select the History option to view the details of when the event was performed and by whom.
