Entries in this panel are used in the Item file to indicate the unit in which an item is to be stored and in which an item can be sold/purchased. For each unit you are establishing, you can also define the language in which the unit will be displayed on external documents.
Options
| MDC mapping | This option is only displayed if the MDC (Multi Distribution Centre) application is activated. Access the Work with units, MDC mapping panel where you can map (translate) an item’s MDC unit in a demanding company to the unit code used in the supplying company. This allows you to have different names for the same unit used in the companies. |

- This column lists the existing units.
- Description
- This column lists the descriptions of the units.
- MDC mapping
- This column is only displayed if the MDC (Multi Distribution Centre) application is activated. This column indicates if MDC unit mapping exists for the unit.
Work with units (GDMD60604)
Note: This panel can be accessed in either Maintenance or Enquiry mode. In Enquiry mode, you are only able to view the information. The panel heading differs accordingly.
If you accessed this panel via the Display option, then you will only be able to view the information. To create or update a record, return to the previous panel and select either the Add or Change option (if available).
