In this window you define the rules for rounding of certain amounts where you do not want an exact conversion. Note: Rounding rules are currently used only for DC1 Distribution and DC1 Financials, but other applications can be introduced. Only the rounding rules that are applicable for the activated applications are displayed.
- File
- This column lists the name of the file where the field for which you define rounding rules can be found.
- Field
- This column lists the name of the field.
- Description
- This column lists the function of the field for which rounding rules should be defined.
- Value
- This field is used in combination with the Type field below. Enter the value that you want the field to be rounded to. For example, 100 means that the amount will be rounded to the nearest hundred. 1000 means that the amount will be rounded to the nearest thousand.
- Type
- This field is used in combination with Value field above. Indicate how you want the field to be rounded choosing from one of the following:
Type Description 1 The conversion program will reduce the value of the amount. 2 This is the default which means that half-adjustment of the value will be performed. If you want the field to be rounded, one way or the other, then you choose one of the other two types. 3 The conversion program will increase the value. Examples:
