Work with master BOR, Bill of routing, op times in minutes/decimal (BAS061B)

The purpose of this program is to maintain operations attached to the master BOR. From this panel you can create or update operation information.

Function keys

Minutes/Decimals Toggle between viewing operation times in minutes and decimals.
BOR id
The code that identifies the Master BOR, and the description.
Structure quantity
In add mode, this field is defaulted with 1. If the Master BOR has already been used in the structure header, this field is output only.

Enter/change the structure quantity. This quantity indicates the relationship between the structure quantity and the component quantities/operation times.

The structure quantity can be used to adjust the operation times in order to avoid short times in the bill of routing.

If the structure quantity is changed, meaning that the component quantity is also changed, then the run, labour and machine time must be adjusted accordingly.

Structure unit
The structure unit of the item. See Structure unit handling for more information.
Operation number
The operation number that is registered in intervals of 10 indicates the order in which the operations are displayed.
Description
The description of the operation.
Work centre
The work centre where the operation is to be performed.
Time basis code
The time basis code indicates in what size the operation time is entered. If this field contains information, it will override the structure quantity.

Valid values are:

Value Description
*Blank Times according to the structure quantity.
1 Times per 10 units.
2 Times per 100 units.
3 Times per 1000 units.
4 Times per 10000 units.
Run and Labour time
The run and labour time in hours for the operation. The run and labour time is used in the product costing calculation in combination with the work centre hour costs. This information is also used in the planning function of the calculated workload, i.e. workload, preliminary workload and planned workload.
Set-up time ext
The external set-up time in hours for the operation. This time is used in the calculation of product costing and cost control amounts.
Machine time
The machine time in hours for the operation. This time is used as a part in the product costing calculation function in combination with the work centre hour costs. This information is also used in the workload time for manufacturing orders.
Waste percentage
The percentage indicates how much extra time is needed for the operation due to production waste. The value is used to re-calculate the run and labour time and machine time of the operation during the capacity requirement’s calculation.
Reporting operation
Indicates if the operation should be reported on the manufacturing order. If this field is set to NO, the operation times will be backflushed when the next operation is reported. This means that by setting reporting points at certain operations, the system will backflush the reporting for all operations from the present operation to the previous reporting operation (milestone).
Reporting calc
This field is used to calculate run/labour, machine or approved quantity at manufacturing order operation reporting within manufacturing. The code indicates the type of calculation that is used for this operation and overrides the value entered at work centre level. If two codes are displayed, the left shows the code that is entered for the BOR and the right shows the code that is entered for the work centre.

Valid values are:

Value Description
1 No suggestion calculated
2 Time will be calculated
3 Approved quantity will be calculated
Resources per job
The number of resources per job. This information is used to calculate the time per day that a manufacturing order operation can be planned. Note: The value entered in this field overrides the value that was entered at work centre level. The field after the input field displays the value from the work centre.
Tools 1 2
Only displayed if the DC1 Tools and fixtures functionality is activated in Work with companies. The codes indicate the tools (tool 1 and 2) that are connected to the current operation.
Valid from
The date indicates from when this operation should be active in the system. At, e.g., manufacturing order creation, the validation of the operation should be copied to the manufacturing order, which is made on the creation date.
Overlapping type
The code indicates if the overlapping to the next operation should be based on 1 (quantity) or 2 (percentage of workload time). This type is, in combination with the overlapping value, used to calculate operation planning dates overlapped in the following functions: manufacturing order, MRP and capacity clearance.
Overlapping value
The overlapping value (quantity or percentage) that defines the overlapping to the next operation.
Queue time
The queue time for this operation that is used as the time before starting current operation. If queue time is entered this is an override value from work centre.
Transport time
The transport time for this operation that is used as a time after completion of current operation. If transport time is entered this is an override value from work centre.
Prod technology
The production technology code that can be used as a base operation detail planning in the manufacturing order module to set the base run priority.
Subc operation
This field is only displayed if the DC1 Manufacturing sub-contractor functionality is activated in Work with companies. It indicates if a purchase order should be created from manufacturing order for the current operation.
Wage type
The wage type from the Wage types table in DC1 Time to be used for this operation when creating balances for manufacturing time. This wage type is transferred to the payroll system in DC1 Time if the Calculate manuf balance field in the Employee file in DC1 Time is set to YES. Note: The wage type entered on the operation overrides the wage type entered in DC1 Time.
Wage classification
The wage classification to be used for this operation when creating balances for manufacturing time. This wage classification is transferred to the payroll system in DC1 Time if the Calculate manuf balance field in the Employee file in DC1 Time is set to YES.
Piecework price
The piecework price to be used for this operation when creating balances for manufacturing time. This piecework price is transferred to the payroll system in DC1 Time if the Calculate manuf balance field in the Employee file in DC1 Time is set to YES.
