Note: This function is only available for purchase type 1 and purchase type 2 items.
- Select the Work with purchase suggestions menu item.
- On the Work with purchase suggestions, Headers panel, select the applicable purchase suggestion and click Change.
- On the next Work with purchase suggestions, Header panel, click Increase order size.
- You access Interactive Line Buy. From this panel you can interactively increase the size of a purchase suggestion to meet a specific target value for an order’s weight, value or volume. For each value you enter, the system cycles through the purchase suggestion lines (including lines for items not originally suggested for purchase) increasing planning days and purchase lines until the target value is reached.
- The reorder point for the item/warehouse combination is manually defined.
- The item/warehouse combination is defined with purchase type 3.
- Target value
- Enter the target value for this suggestion. This value is defined by the code you enter in Target based on.
- Note: The new value must be greater than the current value.
- Target based on
- Enter the code to be used to define the target value. Valid codes are:
- Click Revert to previous to reset the values to the previously entered target values.
- Click Revert to original to reset the suggestion back to its original values. Any manual or special discount quantities for this suggestion will be cleared.
Note: If any of the following apply for the purchase suggestion line, then the line is not included in the Interactive line buy and is therefore not re-calculated:

Click Increase sugg order size to recalculate the order values to meet the new values that you have entered. The calculated values are displayed on the same panel.
If you are not satisfied with the calculated values, you can:
Note: This is not possible once you have left this panel. Then you will only be able to reset to the original values.
Keep the recalculated values and return to Work with purchase suggestions, Header.
Result
The order total value fields on the panel display the recalculated values. The Inter. line buy days field displays the number of days that have been added to the suggestion.
When you view the suggested purchase lines, the system displays the recalculated order quantities of the line and any null suggestion lines that were assigned purchase quantities resulting from the recalculation. Note: For more information on how suggestion quantities are calculated, see section Interactive line buy calculations. Exit the routine.
