In this program you can change the bin location for batch-controlled items, not batch-controlled items, items with serial number tracking and items entered on non-conformity certificates. The update is done immediately.
Bin locations for batch-controlled items can also be changed during update of stock take figures. For items which are not batch-controlled, the bin locations can also be changed in the Item file.
Bin locations for items with serial number tracking can also be changed in the Maintain serial number tracking file program.
If the Continuous update function is selected, you can view all existing batches and bin locations for the specified item and warehouse one by one, by continuously clicking OK. Again, the bin locations for any of the corresponding batches can be changed.
Note: The Continuous update function cannot be used for items with serial number tracking.
- Continuous update
- Indicate if the subsequent existing bin locations and corresponding batches for the item/warehouse should be displayed one by one. This field must be blank if the item entered in the Item field is set to YES in the Serial no. tracking field in the Item file.
- Warehouse
- Enter the warehouse code from the Warehouse table.
- Item
- Enter the complete item code, or short code for which you want to view the corresponding batches and/or bin locations.
- Batch
- Enter the number of the batch to be updated. Batches are subdivisions of warehouses.
- Serial number
- If the Serial no. tracking field is set to YES for the item in the Item file, this field must be completed with a valid serial number.
- NCC number
- Enter the non-conformity certificate number for which you want to change bin location.
Bin location maintenance (DMR63002)
On this panel the bin location for the selected batch and/or item/warehouse can be updated. If the item is under batch control, only one bin location input field is displayed. If the item is not under batch control, two bin location input fields are displayed.
This panel displays the current values, which can be updated. If Continuous update was selected on the first panel, the next existing batch/bin location for the warehouse/item will be displayed when you click OK. Otherwise the first panel will be re-displayed.
- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse code from the Warehouse table which holds the item you are changing.
- Item
- Displays the complete item code for which you are changing bin location.
- Batch
- Displays the number of the batch to be updated, if the item is a batch-controlled item.
- Serial number
- Displays the serial number if it is an item with serial number tracking.
- NCC number
- Displays the non-conformity certificate number for which you are changing bin location.
- Bin location
- Enter the first (and possibly second) bin location where the item is stored.
