Change the work centre parameters

You can change the work centre parameters that are used to calculate the total capacity for a specific date. This function is used to override the capacity calculation parameters of the work centre.

  1. Select the Work with work centres menu item.
  2. You access Work with work centre. Select the applicable work centre and click Change capacity.
  3. You access Work centre capacity maintenance, Capacity in decimal (minutes). Select the date for which you want to change the work centre parameters and click Change parm.
  4. You access Work centre capacity maintenance. You can change the following fields:
  5. To date
    Enter the last date to which the new parameters should override the normal capacity calculation parameters.
    Man factor
    Enter the number of people that the capacity is to be multiplied with to make up the nominal total capacity/day.
    Number of shifts
    Enter the number of shifts that the capacity is to be multiplied with to make up the nominal total capacity/day. Note: This field is not displayed if the MPL-TIME (Plan operation by date/time) function is activated in the Function control file, since the total capacity for the daytime is set-up in the day scheme.
    Number of machines
    Enter the number of machines that the capacity is to be multiplied with to make up the nominal total capacity/day.
    Resources per job
    Enter the number of resources per job. This information is used to calculate the time per day that a manufacturing order operation can be planned.

    Click OK.

  6. You return to the Work centre capacity maintenance, Capacity in decimal (minutes). The Chg until field displays the last date to which the new parameters should override the normal capacity calculation parameters. Click Re-create capacity to re-create the work centre capacity.
  7. You access Re-create work centre capacity. Complete the following fields:
  8. Re-create
    Indicate if the capacity should be re-created.
    Create no of month
    Enter a number indicating for how many months you want to re-create the work centre capacity.

    Click OK to update the work centre capacity according to the new parameters. Exit the routine.
