Use this function if you want the order line text to reflect the attributes that are selected during product configuration.
Enter substitution variables (% followed by attribute or formula codes) in the order line text. At product configuration, the texts for the configurable item and for the selected components are merged into one order line text, and the substitution variables are replaced by the actual attribute or formula values. This text can be printed on external documents. The text entered for components will also be printed on the manufacturing order bill of material.
- Select the Work with configurator items menu item.
- On the initial panel, select the configurator item for which you want to configure the order line text and click Text. (Note: You can also click Text on Configurator item maintenance to access the function for configuration of the order line text).
- You access Edit text, Configurator item.
Enter text to be displayed in the order line text. If you want the text to be configurable, enter % followed by attribute or formula codes.
Note: Formulas must only contain attribute codes and/or constants when used as substitution variables.
Click OK. Exit the routine.
