On this panel you can view or maintain the settings for a selected AMT message status. You can define that all messages connected to the same event should be updated with a new status if the status is changed. This is, for example, useful if several users have received the same message. When one of the users takes action, the status of the remaining messages is changed to that defined in the To sts field. This prevents a situation in which several users respond to the same message with different actions.

It is also possible to specify that one status is able to update another. This means that a change or update to a status will cause other messages (from the same event) to be automatically updated as well. This is similar to a chain reaction: one event triggers another. This is used by the Work with requests and returns program.

This panel can be called from Work with event types or from Table maintenance program selection:

  • When the routine is called from table maintenance, the changes in the settings are valid for all event types. The global settings can be overridden on event type level.
  • When the routine is called from the event type level, you can define that a specific program, such as an enquiry program or a text handling program, is executed when the status update is performed. You can connect any user-developed or adapted program to the event type.
Event type
Displays the selected event type.
Status

Affect all alerts

To status
A value is only entered in this field if the Affect all alerts parameter is set to YES. Enter a code indicating to what status the other messages in the event should be set when the status is updated. For example, if several users have received the same message, then the status of the remaining messages might be changed to Message deleted when one of the users has accepted the message.
