Calendar file, Update selection (GDMD1671)

This window panel can be accessed from the Calendar ID table and from the Calendar file.

If you access the window from the Calendar ID table, you can select either to:

  • create the calendar from the default values
    or
  • copy an existing calendar

When creating a calendar from the default values, the days are copied from a base calendar delivered with the system. The base calendar contains all calendar days from 1900-01-01 to 2099-12-31. Note: You cannot maintain the base calendar.

If you access this window from the Calendar file, you can update the selected calendar by using the default values entered in the Calendar ID table. You can enter a year/month from when the calendar should be updated, if you do not want to update the whole calendar.

Note: When updating the calendar from default values, the relative day numbers in the Order files and in the Manual orders and reservation file will be updated. The Time axis file will also be rebuilt.

Create from defaults
Only displayed if the window was accessed from the Calendar ID table. Indicate if the calendar should be created using the default values for working days and non-working days. If set to YES, the Copy calendar field must be blank.
Start update from year and Month
Only displayed if the window was accessed from the Calendar file. Enter a year in the first field and a month in the second field, indicating from which year the calendar update should start. Note: In the first field the yeas is entered as, for example, 1999.

All records starting with the year/month, up to the end date in the calendar, are updated according to the default values defined in the Calendar ID table. If no year/month is entered, the whole calendar will be updated.

If a year is entered, a month must also be entered.

Note: When you click OK, you will return to the menu and a job updating the calendar is started. This job will in addition to updating the calendar, update the relative day numbers in the Order files and in the Manual orders and reservation file, as well as Rebuild the Time axis file.

Copy calendar
Only displayed if the window was accessed from the Calendar ID table. Enter an existing calendar from which to copy. The calendar from which to copy must have been created. Both working and non-working days are copied. If this field is completed, the Create from defaults field must be set to NO.
