This program controls the different steps and statuses of a portfolio entry. Portfolio handling is primarily intended for bills, but can also be used for cheques.

Selection fields
- Type
- This column lists the existing portfolio types.
- Description
- Displays a description of the related portfolio type.
- Consolidated payment
- Consolidated payment controls payment confirmation. Displays YES if the remittance to the bank should also include payment confirmation. Displays NO if confirmation is done separately from the remittance.
- Consolidated closing
- Consolidated closing controls portfolio closing. The closing will stop the document from further handling. Displays YES if the closing is consolidated with payment confirmation. Displays NO if the closing should be done separately.
- Portfolio accounting
- Displays YES if the portfolio handling creates G/L postings. Displays NO if the final G/L postings are created when you enter the payment.
- Portfolio pseudo
- Displays the fixed part of the pseudo account. If Portfolio accounting is YES, this pseudo account, a control account, is used for A/R payments to create the portfolio entry accounting.
- Bank remit pseudo
- Displays the fixed part of the pseudo account. This control account is debited on remittance to bank.
- Discounting pseudo
- Displays the fixed part of the pseudo account. This control account is credited on remittance to bank. Discounting is used when you need bank payment before the due date of the portfolio.
- Encashment pseudo
- Displays the fixed part of the pseudo account. This control account is credited on remittance to bank for encashment.
- Bank payment pseudo
- Displays the fixed part of the pseudo account.
If the portfolio accounting is performed for a document type defined with document data type 2, then Bank payment pseudo is a regular bank payment account. It is debited at bank payment. The bank remittance account is then credited with the same amount.
If the portfolio accounting is performed for a document type defined with document data type 6, then Bank payment pseudo is the Confirmed bank payment pseudo which is a portfolio control account. This account is debited at bank payment confirmation and the bank remittance account is credited with the same amount.
At portfolio closing, the balance on the Confirmed bank payment account is closed. This account is then credited and the bank remittance account is debited with the same amount.
- Liquid entry type
- Displays 1 if this is a portfolio type for cheque payments. Displays 2 if for a bill payment. The code controls which information should be completed in the portfolio routines.
- Automatic settlement
- Indicates if the payment transactions should be automatically created during the confirmation of the payment.

- Consolidated payment controls payment confirmation. Indicate if the remittance to the bank should also include payment confirmation. If confirmation is done separately from the remittance, set to NO. YES is mandatory if Portfolio accounting is NO.
- Automatic settlement
- Indicate if the payment transactions must be created automatically during the confirmation of the payment. If you set to NO, the payment should be manually entered in the manual payment entry routine.
- Consolidated closing
- Consolidated closing controls portfolio closing. The closing will stop the document from further handling. Indicate if the closing is consolidated with payment confirmation. If you set to NO, the closing should be done separately. YES is mandatory if Portfolio accounting is NO.
- Portfolio accounting
- Set to YES if the portfolio handling creates G/L postings. Set to NO if the final G/L postings are created when you enter the payment. - Portfolio pseudo
- Enter the fixed part of the pseudo account. You define the pseudo account, together with a variable part which is 3 positions long, in the Pseudo account file. The fixed part must be 4 positions long and the first character must be an X. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the default XPFL in combination with document type. If Portfolio accounting is YES, this pseudo account, a control account, is used for A/R payments to create the portfolio entry accounting.
- Bank remit pseudo
- Enter the fixed part of the pseudo account. You define the pseudo account, together with a variable part which is 3 positions long, in the Pseudo account file. The fixed part must be 4 positions long and the first character must be an X. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the default XBRB in combination with the bank code. This control account is debited on remittance to bank.
- Discounting pseudo
- Enter the fixed part of the pseudo account. You define the pseudo account, together with a variable part which is 3 positions long, in the Pseudo account file. The fixed part must be 4 positions long, and the first character must be an X. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the default XBDB in combination with the bank code. This control account is credited on remittance to bank. Discounting is used when you need bank payment before the due date of the portfolio.
- Encashment pseudo
- Enter the fixed part of the pseudo account. You define the pseudo account, together with a variable part which is 3 positions long, in the Pseudo account file. The fixed part must be 4 positions long, and the first character must be an X. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the default XBEB in combination with the bank code. This control account is credited on remittance to bank for encashment.
- Bank payment pseudo
- Enter the fixed part of the pseudo account. You define the pseudo account, together with a variable part which is 3 positions long, in the Pseudo account file. The fixed part must be 4 positions long, and the first character must be an X. If you leave this field blank, the system uses the default XCPY in combination with the bank code. If Portfolio accounting is NO, the pseudo account must be left blank.
If the portfolio accounting is performed for a document type defined with document data type 2, then Bank payment pseudo is a regular bank payment account. It is debited at bank payment. The bank remittance account is then credited with the same amount.
If the portfolio accounting is performed for a document type defined with document data type 6, then Bank payment pseudo is the Confirmed bank payment pseudo which is a portfolio control account. This account is debited at bank payment confirmation and the bank remittance account is credited with the same amount.

- Displays the portfolio type(s) you selected to copy.
- New type
- Enter a code to identify the new portfolio type you are creating.
