Work with a season profile analysis

The following describes how you can work with the season profile result before you update the season profile in the Item/Inventory management file.

Follow the instructions in Analyse and update the season profile.
On the Season profile list printout/update panel, complete the following additional fields:

Update in work file: Set to YES to indicate that you want to update the created report in a work file in order to analyse the result before updating the system.

Season profile: Enter an ID and a description of the season profile to identify the analysis that you are creating.

Enter the applicable print parameters and click OK.

What to do next?
You now have the possibility to retrieve the analysis and work with the season profile results.

Select the Work with season profile ID menu item.
You access Work with season profile ID, Header from where you can delete the complete analysis report. If you click Details, then you can delete individual items that you do not want to update from the analysis. Select the analysis report that you created in steps 1-2 above and click Change.
On the Work with season profile ID, Header details panel, click Maintenance period weight to change the forecast periods and weights for the items included in the analysis.
You access Work with season profile ID, Header on which the total number of forecast periods and the total period weight of the analysis are displayed. Select a period and click Change.
You access Work with season profile ID, Period weight. You can change the following field:

Period weight: Change the period weight if the result from the analysis does not apply.

Click OK. The system updates the analysis in the work file.

Return to the Header panel. Select the analysis that you have changed and click Update.
You access Work with season profile ID, Update showing the analysis that you selected. Enter the applicable printing parameters and click OK to print the analysis report and perform the actual update of the season profile in the Item/Inventory management file. At the same time, the analysis report is being removed from the work file. Exit the routine.
