In this program you define which application/release an object belongs to. The program is updated from CRTASWOBJ or when the Create/Update object definition table program is executed. It is used to select objects when creating installation save files. It is also used during the Cross reference rebuild which is used when searching for which procedure is being called by which procedure.

- Object
- This column lists the objects that have been defined.
- Type
- This column lists the object types.
- Attribute
- This column lists the object attributes.
- Library
- Displays in which library the latest version of the object is stored.
- App
- Displays the application to which the object belongs.
- Release
- Displays the release to which the object belongs.
Work with object definitions (ASTD10604)
On this panel you set up or maintain the object definition details.
- Object
- Type
- Enter the type of the object. The object types are the same as in OS/400, which are, for example, *PGM for programs, *FILE for files etc.
- Attribute
- Enter the object’s attribute. The object attributes are the same as in OS/400, which are, for example, CLLE for CL program, RPGLE for RPG programs, LF for Logical Files.
- Library
- Enter the library where the latest version of the object is stored.
- Source file
- Enter the source file to which the object belongs.
- Application code
- Enter the code for the application to which the object belongs. The application code must exist in the Application definition table.
- Manual override
- Indicate if this record is changed manually or not.
- Change date
Work with object definitions, Copy (ASTD10605)
- Object
- Displays the object(s) you selected to copy.
- New object
- Enter the new object that you are defining.
- New type
- Enter the object type to which the new object should belong.
