These entries are used:
- in the Business partner file and Item file as account number identifications. When a transaction appears in the system which has retrieved the account group from the Business partner file or Item file it will be translated in this table into pseudo accounts. When the pseudo account has been retrieved it will be changed into the correct account number and updated in the Accounting transaction file.
- in the Item classification functionality when building a grouping structure. The Item account group is one of the 12 item related keys allowed to be assigned as an Item classification entity at DIS control file level (i.e. as one of the following: Main group, Group, Classification profile 1 or Classification profile 2).
