This program is used to maintain information about service programs, modules and procedures. A cross reference database is automatically created as the specified files, modules, service programs are compiled in the system. The CRTASWOBJ functionality is used in order to retrieve information about an ASW object and load the Cross reference files.
Start rebuild at:
- Release
- The release of the current company is defaulted. Enter the release level from which the rebuild should start. This value is used to select which objects from the Object definition file to process. The process will run release by release, starting at the lowest release in the library list. To start a complete rebuild, leave the field blank.
- Life-cycle phase
- The life-cycle phase of the current company is defaulted. Enter the life-cycle phase to start the rebuild from.
- Rebuild ODF first
- Indicate if you want the system to process a rebuild of the Object definition file for the selected release prior to processing the Cross reference rebuild. If you set this field to NO, then the existing Object definition file will be used to identify which objects to process.
- Copy prior first
- Indicate if you want the system to copy the Cross reference files and Object definition file (if Rebuild ODF first is set to YES) from the release/life-cycle immediately prior to the release/life-cycle selected to start rebuild at. The rebuild will start the process after copying the data from the prior release.
- Application
- Enter an application code to have the Cross reference rebuild process run only for objects that belong to the entered application. The application code must exist in the Application definition table.
- Object type
- Enter an object type to have the Cross reference rebuild process run only for objects that belong to the entered type.
- Save diagnostics
- When running a complete Cross reference rebuild a workfile (ASGR463A) is created. In this field you can decide if you want to save it. NO is defaulted meaning that the workfile is deleted after the run. If you set this field to YES, then the workfile is kept in order to enhance the performance when running av new Cross reference rebuild and the objects have not been changed since the last run.
CRTASWOBJ settings:
In this section, you specify which function of the CRTASWOBJ should be run for every object that has been selected for processing. The specification should be done according to the standards for the ASWCRT command. Normally, you should leave the defaulted settings.
The following functions are available:
- Object definition
- Acc part spec file
- Dimension object
- Database object
- Cross reference
- Language object
- Printer controls
