Work with credit stop codes, Message handlers (GDMD15701)

In this program you assign message handlers to credit stop codes. When a customer exceeds their credit limit during sales order entry or has overdue payments/invoice amounts or both, then the credit check program will send a text message or an alert to the message handler who has been assigned to the credit stop code that caused the order or order line to be held.

Selection fields

Handler
This column lists the message handlers that have been assigned to the selected credit stop code.

On this panel you assign a message handler to a credit stop code. You also specify if the message should be sent as a text message or as an alert.

Handler
Enter the ID of the message handler to whom the selected credit stop code should be assigned.
Send message
Indicate if a message should be sent to this handler when a customer has exceeded the credit limit and a sales order or sales order line has been held due to the selected credit stop code.
Message text
If Send message is YES, enter the message text. Otherwise, leave the field blank.

The following system variables can be entered which will be converted to real data when the message is sent:

Code Description
&OR Order number
&CU Customer
&RS Reason code
&SC Credit stop code
&CP Credit profile

For example:

Order number &OR for customer &CU was held due to credit stop code &SC.

Send alert
Indicate if an alert should be sent to this handler when a customer has exceeded their credit limit and a sales order or sales order line has been held due to the selected credit stop code.
Event type
If Send alert is set to YES, enter the event type for the alert. Otherwise, leave the field blank. See Configuring the system to send/receive alerts for details.
