This panel displays all files in which there are references to the Reference field.

- Field
- Displays the selected reference field.
Work with database definitions, Field texts (ASTD19704)
The information on this panel is mainly used for informational purposes during a development phase and can be used for standardising the different types of text for a field.
Note: If you want to change some information, it is recommended that you manually change the information in the source and compile, then click Update all DSPF/PRTF on the initial Work with database definitions panel to update the changes.
Function keys
FRF text | Access the FRF field’s free text. |
HELP text | Enter the help text instructions that should be written for a new field. |
Conversion text | Write conversion instructions (used only in the DCP process) to be used during the actual Data Conversion process. Such instructions could include how the fields should be initialised, calculated, etc. |
- Field
- Displays the name of the field that you are working with.
- Object
- Displays the object that you are working with.
- Field name
- Enter/displays the field name.
- Status
- Enter/displays the valid status for New, Updated or Deleted.
- Abbreviation
- If you need to abbreviate a field name for, e.g., a column heading, enter the standard abbreviation which should be used in all files where the scenario takes place.
- Lead text
- Enter/displays the lead text for the field.
- Column heading 1
- This field could display two column heading values. The leftmost values are the actual column heading for the object. The rightmost values are retrieved from the FRF for the field.
- Column heading 2
- This field could display two column heading values. The leftmost values are the actual column heading for the object. The rightmost values are retrieved from the FRF for the field.
- Column heading 3
- This field could display two column heading values. The leftmost values are the actual column heading for the object. The rightmost values are retrieved from the FRF for the field.
- Subset
- Enter/displays the subset to which the field belongs.
- Identity
- If the identity is defined as a mandatory entry for the subset in the Subset table, you must complete this field. The validation rules, if any, are also defined in the Subset table.
- Change date
- Displays the date this field was last changed.
- PTF/Mod number
- If the PTF and modification number are defined as mandatory entries for the subset in the Subset table you must complete these fields. The validation rules, if any, are also defined in the Subset table.
- Changed by user
- Displays the user profile id of the last person who changed this field.
Work with database definitions, Copy (ASTD19705)
On this panel you enter the new information for the copied field text.
- Field
- Displays the field text you are working with.
- Object
- Displays the name of the object you are working with.
- Field name
- Displays the name of the field you are working with.
- Subset
- Displays the subset to which the field text you are copying belongs.
- New field
- Enter the new field name.
- New subset
- Enter the subset to which the new field text should belong.
Work with database definitions, Deletion (ASTD19708)
From this panel you can physically delete a field text. Click OK to confirm the deletion.
