This document outlines the different process steps and the order in which these actions should be taken.
This panel displays all existing alternative hierarchies for a selected demand plan.
Each demand plan must be connected to a hierarchy from Work with demand plan hierarchies. Once details have been created for the demand plan you can also define an alternative hierarchy for the plan. This is useful if you want to view the forecast figures from another perspective.
Alternative hierarchies can only be connected to the demand plan if details have been created, but they cannot be maintained if the demand plan has been activated.
You can define restrictions in the system so that the alternative hierarchy only can be maintained or viewed by the person who is defined as responsible for the demand plan or for the alternative plan.

- This column lists the codes that identify the alternative hierarchies.

- This column lists the descriptions of the alternative hierarchies.

This panel displays the details of the selected hierarchy.
Function keys

- Demand plan
- Hierarchy code
- Enter the code from Work with demand plan hierarchies that identifies the alternative hierarchy. This code gives the keys and summary levels for the demand plan.
- Description
- Enter the description of the alternative hierarchy.
- Responsible
- The code from Work with signatures is defaulted identifying the person who is responsible for the alternative hierarchy.
- Secured
- Indicate if the alternative hierarchy should be secured. If YES, only the handler of the demand plan and the person who is responsible for the alternative hierarchy will be able to view the hierarchy.
- Transfer to BIW
- Indicate if the alternative plan should be transferred to BIW. If YES, the alternative plan is transferred when the Update BIW option is used for the base demand plan.
- Budget number
- Only shown if the alternative hierarchy has been transferred to BIW. Displays the budget number that was created when the alternative hierarchy was transferred to BIW.

- Displays the record you selected to copy.
- Description
- Displays the description of the record you selected to copy.
- New hierarchy

This panel displays all alternative hierarchies for which you have selected to create details. Click OK to confirm the creation. Click Back to cancel.
