In this table you define the carriers that your company is using for delivering goods to customers.
Options
Selection fields
- Carrier
- This column lists the carrier companies that have been defined in your system.
- Active
- Indicates if the carrier is activated.
Carrier table (GBDD6053)
On this panel you enter or maintain the details of the carrier company.
Function keys
Service codes | Enter/maintain service codes indicating the services provided by the carrier. Via this function key, you are also able to specify the pricing details for the services. |
- Carrier
- Enter a unique code to identify the carrier company.
- Active
- Indicate if the carrier should be activated.
- SLID
- Enter the carrier’s self label ID. This code is used to identify the consignment number.
- Validation program
- Enter the name of the program that should be used to validate the service code(s) defined for the carrier against the postal code, if applicable.
- First number to use
- Enter the lowest number that can be used as the consignment number for this carrier.
- Data file program
- Enter the data creation file format program that should be used when sending consignment information to this carrier.
- Last number to use
- Enter the highest number that can be used as the consignment number for this carrier.
- Label program
- Enter the label printout format program that should be used when printing consignment labels for this carrier.
- Last number used
- Displays the last consignment number that has been used for this carrier.
- Manifest program
- Enter the manifest printout format program that should be used when printing driver manifests for this carrier.
- Customer id
- Enter your customer number identification.
- Invoice rec program
- Enter the program that should be used for this carrier during invoice reconciliation.
- Send address
- Enter the IP address of this carrier to be used when sending data files.
- User id
- Enter the name of the user that should be allowed to log on to this carrier’s FTP server in order to send the data files to the carrier.
- Password
- Enter the password that should be used when logging on to this carrier’s FTP server.
- Tracking address
- Enter the website address that should be used when tracking a consignment assigned to this carrier. Via this website, the customer is able to follow and view the status of the consignment.
Direct print
- Printer queue
- The printer specified as the default for printing labels is automatically retrieved, if the labels are printed from a direct transport note. If a transport note printer is linked to a label printer in the Label print control file maintenance, then that linked printer is defaulted to this field.
- Number of copies
- Indicate how many printouts you require.
- Hold on spool file
- The default is NO. This means that a printout will be generated as soon as the printer is available. If YES is entered the printout will be held in the output queue. To release these holds the system commands WRKSPLF or WRKOUTQ must be entered.
Click OK when you have completed all the information.
- Cons at PL conf
- Indicate if the consignment should be created during pick list confirmation. If you enter YES, then an additional panel is accessed where you enter the consignment details for the pick list. The consignment is stored in Work with carrier consignments where it can be maintained and viewed. If you enter NO, then you can create the consignment later in the Work with carrier consignments program.
- Label at TNote
- Indicate if the label should be printed at the same time as the transport note.
- Mandatory weight
- Indicate if it should be mandatory to enter the weight when creating a consignment for this carrier.
